I work in a chiropractic office where our clients become like family. Many know of my engagment and have asked about gifts, regestrations, etc. Should I feel obligated to invite a few of the ones that I am close to? or would the cross the professional/personal boundary lines?

I don’t think I would invite clients. Afterall, they’re not really friends of yours…do you hang out with them outside of work?

I would not invite clients. I am sure they are happy for you, but I doubt that any of them expect an invitation.

You definitely shouldn’t feel obligated to invite them. But, if you want to invite them, I think that’s okay. Do you have a supervisor that could advise you on whether your employer would consider it crossing a line?
