He is a classmate, so I think he would understand not being invited. Have you talked to your FI about this? What does your FI say? If you do invite this guy, would you be giving him a plus one? Something to think about.
If it will feel awkward to you, then do invite him. We a had a "new" girl at work and even though she had just started working there, she is super cool and we get along fabulously. My wedding was literally about a month away so the invites had already gone out and all but I told her I wanted her to come so I squeezed her in.
Can you put him on the B list? I'm sure that he will understand if you tell him that you have already budgeted your wedding.
My fiance and I have talked about it and he says that it's up to me. He's never met the guy, but I haven't met every single one of his guests either (even though we've been together 5yrs). And two extra people aren't going to throw us over budget
. And all non-married guests get a plus one as I find it rude to not invite a plus one.

I recently started back to college (Aug) and became buddies with this guy the first day of class. We speak almost every single day and we email often out of class. Should I invite him? I feel awkward about it because I have't known him long, but yet as much as we talk I feel like it's awkward not to invite him.
