My fiancee and I have been looking at wedding bands. He purchased me a set so I already have a wedding band. I am looking for opinions on getting a second wedding band that’s not for an anniversary. By this, I mean I would like to receive two wedding bands at the ceremony. Not receive one at a later date. My fiancee agrees with this because we have been together for several years and he’s known I’ve always liked the look of 3 rings. (It looks more complete to me, just my opinion!)
My question is should I get a second wedding band that matches the first? (This might be an issue because the store doesn’t carry just the wedding band on it’s own) OR should I get a nonmatching band?
I’ve included a picture of my set for reference! (It’s on my right hand) Sorry if it’s massive! I posted it off of my phone!

Match. I think as your wedding band is already matching, it will look strange having one on the other side that doesn’t.

I would get it to match as well. I think you can talk to the jewelry store and they should be able to get it done.

I actually love the idea of having another band that doesn’t match and stacking it below the matching one instead of on the other side..which is what I do and I love how it makes it more interesting..I actually have two additional bands stacked below my matching band

Cassidylouise: I say get a different band. I think you will “lose” your ering if you have another matching band. Maybe a different colored metal or stones? Rose gold looks really nice with white gold.
maybe something like this:

I am not a fan of stacked sets usually because I find there’s usually too much to look at. If you get another matching band I think your e-ring will get lost. I would get a non matching band but only if you wear them both on the same side and not as a sandwich around your e-ring.

I’m all for matching it. If you didn’t have the halo, I would say it doesn’t matter, but I think with the halo you need symmetry.

I love the matching band above the engament ring if you went for stacking. My bridal set is very simliar to yours.
I want one with my two children’s birthstones in it 😀

I would get a non matching band and stack it in the same side of the other band.

I am all about the unmatching. 🙂

Unmatched!! I have the same scenario (wanted two bands with my e-ring, getting married on our 8-year anniversary) with my rings and this is what my complete stack will look like (hopefully):

Personally, I would add a different band. Rose gold would be my #1 choice! 😉 and would wear it below the white band.
