That is a tough one.
I don't think I would chance it, unless I was extremely desperate.
Have you tried hanging your gown in the bathroom from the shower rod and running a steam shower. That might help.
do you have another steamer that you could use? we steamed my sister's gown with no problems at all. it came out perfect! i wonder if your steamer isn't very strong? i wouldn't trust an unknown shop to press my dress, though. good luck!

My wedding is in 4 days, and my organza gown is a bit wrinkly after traveling to my wedding destination. I'm in a rural area and there is only one dry cleaner's in town and I have not heard good things about them...people have complained about the service they get there for normal clothes, so I'm a bit nervous about taking my wedding gown there to get it pressed. I'm working on steaming it with a hand steamer and making very slow progress. Should I just do my best with this? Or should I take a risk and send it to the dry cleaners? With the latter, it could end up perfectly pressed, or possibly ruined. With the steamer, I think it'll end up being slightly wrinkled still...
Help! Advice? Thanks!
