My daughter in her wedding gown -it was a size 2 but needed a little alteration.
That style of dress is gorgeous but if you are at all self-conscious of your tummy/ hips/ waist, I'd look for a smaller sample (or a similar dress) just to be sure you like the final look. I know it's frustrating when you can't clearly see how the dress will look on you!
I think you are going to have a hard time finding a sample dress that is going to give you a proper idea. However, I think this dress has the potential to be altered down if you need it to. Stay away from corset style dresses or other dresses with boning though, as those do not alter well.
I bought my dress at Alfred Angelo. They had a 4 for me to try on and I bought a 0 that had to be altered to make it smaller. It has worked out for me and I did go with the corset back on the dress. Some of their samples were in the larger range but they did have a few that were closer to my size so they did not need as much clipping.
ETA: I am about 5'3" and under 105 lb. My bra size is around your size.
My sister is about your size. We had to do some very fancy clipping while looking for Bridesmaid dress but a good seamstress can work wonders!
Best of luck!
You'll probably have trouble finding samples in your size unless you go try on at David's Bridal. I had the same problem trying on dresses because everything I found was in a sample size between 6-14. I'm 5'7 and 104lbs, so you can imagine what a size 14 looked like on me. I had a huge issue with Alfred Angelo, when I ordered a size 0 dress from them, that they told me would fit. When it came in, it was huge on me and because of the design of the dress, the seamstress said there was no way she could ever alter it to fit me properly. I fought with them for a month to get my money back. The second time around I went with Casablanca, who will custom make the dress to your size and height. Plus they'll do any alterations you want done for very cheap. I'm getting the neckline changed to a sweetheart and having a corset back put in. I'm sure it'll save me a ton in alterations.
I definitely don't have that problem- but I do have a suggestion! Are there any used dress boutiues near you? Maybe you can swing by there and see if they have anything in your size- that way hopefully you could at least decide on what silhouette works for you. Good luck!!
I had the same problem. But I went ahead and bought a dress in the smallest size and its still too big. As soon as it came in I took pictures in it and brought in my seamstress to make sure that she can fit it. You probably aren't going to find samples in your size unless you go try on styles at David's Bridal and even those might be too big. I have a Bridesmaids dress from there and it was big on me. I am like you 100lbs 5'2 and a 34b. Good luck and keep your head up. It will all work out!
I went to DB just so I could experience trying on a dress that didn't need 15 clips to stay on me :P Yelp around for a well known, experienced seamstress in your area and order the dress in the smallest size. I'm a 2 but had to order a 6 for the length.
I'm pretty much the exact same size as you. I havn't actually tried on dresses yet, but that's what I'm afraid of. I don't have any advice for you. so I just wish you the best! The dress you picked out is lovely. I really hope you can get it to fit!
I just ordered my dress the other day and a size 2 was the smallest they had in the catalog (and this is true for almost all dresses). I've never seen anything smaller than a 2, which I would say is a street size 0-2.
I'm proportional and a street size 00 - 5'2", 90 lbs. Extremely small framed and petite boned. So regardless of the dress I got, it would have to be altered from a 2 to a street size 00 no matter what. I've never heard of a size 0 or 00 wedding dress. But don't worry! There are lots of other brides that are extra small and that's why having a master seamstress is so important. You'll be fine don't worry!
Enzoani has new sizing and there is a size 0 gown. I know because that's what was ordered for me when I bought my dress (I'm 5'3", 100lbs, 32b). From what I remember, the measurements seemed true to a street size 0-2.
I highly recommend going to a place like David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo, if for no other reason to try dresses on of similar style in your true size. I am also 5'2 and had my heart set on a Maggie, when I finally tried it on, I hated it--it was clearly a gown made for someone who was 6' tall and was not alterable to my height. I was able to find my gown in the sample sizes, but my next stop would have been one of the big box stores to try on styles that i liked in my style.
Thanks ladies for all the advice and well wishing! I guess my next tasks will be visiting DB (even though they don't carry Allure) to at least get a feel for the style dress I want in a size closer to mine and finding a super awesome seamstress!

Hi Bees, I know most of you will gag when you read this but I am getting frustrated. I am a proportioned woman of 5' and lil under 100lbs and 32B. My prob has been trying on dresses. All the bridal places around here carry dresses in average women sizes 8-12s. Every dress I try on is way to big to say the least and with all the clips in the back I can't get a real idea of the dress on me. I think I have settled on the allure 8853, but again it was a 12 so the whole back and cap sleeves looked weird. The lady took my measurements and 2 weren't even on the Allure sizing chart, but said she would order a 2. I absolutely love the style of this dress but I am nervous about the fit/look once its in. Anyone try on a size 2 dress? How does it compare with real sizes? Should I go ahead and buy bc I am in love or look for something that I will be able to get a better mental pic of? Sorry so long...frustrated grrrr!
