So, I am debating having some cap sleeves put onto my dress. It doesn't have a train, and it's very simple. I am almost positive I want them on there, but will it be to prom like? Or is it too prom like w/o them?  Below is my dress, and a couple options I am thinking about.

Sorry! I had to re-size them! When I was in hs, I saw a few dresses with cap sleeves (though they may have been made by hand). lol.

I didn't vote becuase I could go either way on this.  I like it with or without.  Without, you could do a statement necklace or some awesome earrings.  With, it would change it up a bit.

I think you should! It will add a pretty little detail to your dress :)

I love the second photo of the cap sleeve!

I love the second photo of the cap sleeves. I think you look great in your dress without the cap sleeves but I think it would look great with the sleeves, as well. I think if you really want them and would feel more comfortable with the cap sleeves, then go for it! Otherwise, it looks great the way it is.

Thanks for the input, Bees! You can't really see it, so here is the detail on the dress. = )

I really like the second cap sleeves you posted. I like the dress without them, too, but I think the cap sleeves would look lovely with it.

@HisBarista: Then go with the cap sleeves!  My cap sleeves are actually almost identical to those second ones.  And plus, it will help support your top a bit.  I'm large-busted and that's one of the reasons I'm excited about the sleeves is not having to yank my dress up all night.

This is my dress, btw (for reference)

I think you should do the cap sleeves and make it your own! You'll have a dress that no one else has had because you'll pick the perfect little cap sleeves for you!

@HisBarista: You can see a close up of the sleeves on the website and they're almost exact to yours!  And yes, very helpful for big chested ladies, and a little change from the traditional strapless dress :o)

I'm thinking that strapless dresses are on their last legs for how popular straps and sleeves and boleros are becoming. ;) You dress looks great as is, but would also be totally nice with the cap sleeves. You can totally go either way and have a gorgeous dress on your hands!

I was going to do that to my dress, then decided otherwise, I eventually decided to put off the shoulder sleeves on it.

@MrsSpinella-Oh, those are pretty! = ) I'd be worried about having the urge to adjust them! I'm alittle CDO like that.

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to do the sleeves! As pretty as the second set is, I think I'm going to go with the simple ones so they don't out do the dress. I'll put pics up when it comes back!

I am totally all about the sleeves!! I usually like just the strapless look, but I think that it will add that little something extra that you need! Esp if you are wearing pearls, I don't think that the sleeves will compete with your necklace :) Can't wait to see the pics!!!

I do really like the idea of the cap sleeve! However, if you are wearing your hair down it may be better to have your chest and shoulders free. But if you are wearing your hair up...cap sleeve all the way!

    Hi :)

I like the sleeves option. I think it's modest, what's wrong with modesty?

I actually really loved this dress below but already got another one.
