After seeing all the blog posts about dancing lessons, I’ve started to think about taking them. We’ve got our first dance song picked out, and we purposly picked out a short, sweet song because…. well I can’t dance. I have the rhythm of a stick. My Fiance can dance ok, he’s no Fred Astaire but he can hold his own. I am hower, a musican. I’m a bass player, so I can keep count and I can follow a beat. I just suck at dancing.
Our first dance is to You’ve Got A Friend In Me from Toy Story (yep, we know it’s cheesy, but we’re huge Pixar nerds and it’s a reoccuring theme in our relationship and house and we’re excited about it). It’s got a pretty easy bass line to follow, and I think it would be pretty easy to just step along to. Not middle school dance, but just basic steps. I don’t know what to call it.
So should we take dance lessons? Should we wing it for our first dance? Should we just put the song on repeat and dance to it till we don’t look stupid? Did anyone take dance lessons? Did you think they were worth it?
