So I’m making pinwheels.. and LOTS of them. I already cut the paper and punched the holes etc. But I don’t know what’s the best way to attach them to the rods. It seems that it’s kinda hard to just push the pin into the wood. I’ve heard about softening them up with water, etc.

When I did mine I made the pinwheels by using an eyelet in the center. I used 2 different size dowels; one for the stick and one as a post that stuck out to stick the pinwheel on. I drilled a small hole in the larger dowel to stick the small post in and glued that in there. then i put a bead then pinwheel then capped it with a bead with a little bit of hot glue. Just be careful not to get glue on the pinwheel or else it won’t spin. Hope this helps.
