I have never pictured myself walking down the aisle in a veil. It just doesn’t really suit me. When i purchased my dress, I was given a $200 merchandise credit, and I feel the need to use EVERY CENT (not a penny more), but I just don’t know what type of veil would look good with my dress.
My dress is the Watters Francisca. I will be having the neckline altered to a sweetheart
We are having a 100 person backyard wedding at my grandfather’s farm. Think soft pinks and creams, gold glitter, pretty but still casual and fun.
Should I get a veil just to get a veil? Or find something else to send the credit on?
If I veil, what kind would look good with a flowy, organdy dress??

My dress is similar in feel – soft, fitted sweetheart neckline, although your skirt is more full. I never saw myself in a veil, either, though I am getting one now. I think a single layer elbow-length cut edge veil is quite pretty (much like the one on the model in your dress). That’s what I ordered online, and my mom is going to do simple beading on the edge. If I had a $200 credit, I would have bought the $150 one I was loving at my fitting.

@turtle9748: I love the look of a veil, it made me feel like a bride. In looking online I found examples of this dress with a very simple single layer veil.

@Treejewel19: i do like the look of that veil, but it’s just so traditional. not sure if any veil is my style, although i love them and they are the epitome of bridal. guess i just need to wait until the dress comes in and try some on.

@turtle9748: What about a bubble veil? A little less traditional but still very pretty.

What about a bird cage veil? They are super pretty and looks awesome in photos!

I think a veil for the ceremony would really just complete the look! and then you can go without a veil for the reception. I actually love that veil in the ad for your Watters dress. It looks very subtle and elegant!

okaaaay you’ve convinced me to at least try a few styles and see what I like 🙂
still not sold, but, what’s that saying that without a veil, you’re just a girl in a pretty white dress? haha
