I say if you are conflicted, wait till you pick your dress and then try some on and see what you think! I'm going to skip the veil (despite not having my dress yet, though I think I know the type I'll get) because I've got a pixie cut and I think a veil would overwelm me.
I'm wearing a veil, but only for the ceremony. I like the traditional look of the veil, but I know it will get in my way of partying later at the reception. At that point I will just have aheadband or a hairpin or something.

This is one thing that has been on my mind lately although it's probably one of the least important details.
I'm not a big fan of things on my head other than a baseball cap.
I do love the look of veils though. In many cases they seem to make the attire "complete." But I'm just not sold on it.
The ceremony will be outside on a rooftop overlooking the city skyline so it's like to be at least a little windy despite the fact that September has a very moderate climate around here.
My aunt says she wishes she had worn a veil on her wedding day. My cousin says she wishes she hadn't.
My mom says I'm obviously a little uncomfortable with them on my head but my friends say the right one (in their eyes it's a fingertip veil) makes me glow.
I was set on a very simple, slim and understated gown so a veil seemed too dressy but now I'm leaning more toward a more "weddingish" gown so a veil seems more appropriate.
