We didn't have special toasting flutes. It was one of those things I was hoping someone would buy us, but no one did so we just used regular glasses.
@JoJo Bananas: Oh good point, I added that as an option in the poll. Thanks!
i didnt plan on buying special champagne flutes - i have some beautiful waterford crystal champagne flutes that i got from my grandmother when she passed and i planned on using those but then my mom suprised me with 2 bride and groom champagne flutes from etsy!
We are just using the same flutes as everyone else. We are also just using a cake server from the caterer. We decided that having special ones just were something we cared about. We just saw it as an added expense and wanted to put that money toward something else.
I'm hoping someone buys them as a gift, it is something I would like, I just would not like to spend the $$ on them.
My mom found some at her store... apparently they were really expensive but she got them for like $15. I haven't seen them yet, but I couldn't care less whether we have them or not. It is nice to know my mom thought of us and is willing to give us some flutes :) I was very thankful!
I wasn't planning to use special toasting flutes, but a friend gave me these from Pier 1 at my bachelorette party (which was also a pseudo-shower, since I insisted on no shower! LOL)... they were appropriately "non-bridal" (for me!) so we went ahead and used them. :)

My sister bought them for us from Tiffany's as soon as she heard we were engaged. :)
Thanks so much for the responses! It's to the point where I'm trying to think of what are the last things I need to do/get for the wedding and this happens to be one of them. I was not originally planning on getting anything special, but then I saw so many girls had them and I wasn't sure if I needed to get them or not.
@noritake22: This is how I feel. But I was pressured by my FI and my mom about getting a cake server set, so I did go ahead and order one of those.
I had a gift card and was afraid of getting weird looking flutes so we just bought ours and plan on having them engraved. 4 for $20 at BB&B is just fine by me!
I bought mine because they were on sale. I didn't want to wait either. So neat.

My mom bought them for us to use at our engagement party shortly after the engagement.
When my parents were married they had silver plated champaign flutes engraved and she really wanted to give us some for our wedding.
So she searched and searched and searched every Macy's up and down the eastern sea board and finally found some that she had shipped to our local store. She is going to have them engraved for us to use at our wedding in *99* days! YIKES!
FI and I don't even like champagne!
My mom offered to let me use theirs (my brother and sister-in-law did this also, so my mom thought it could be a neat tradition) but I'm sort of on the fence about it.
While I get the tradition, we are not going to be drinking wine or champagne anyway b/c we don't like it.
It would be much more "us" for FI to have a pint of his favorite beer and me to have a girly mixed drink or iced tea :D
We weren't going to have special toasting flutes because that's just not something I care about. But FI's dad and stepmom got us these beautiful Waterford flutes for as an engagement present. THey just so happen to match or color perfectly. We're not having champagne at the wedding so we'll be filling them with something else.

We registered for the Lenox Pearl Jubilee toasting flutes and got them as a gift at the bridal shower. We wouldn't have bought special ones for ourselves because we already have perfectly functional flutes, even though they're kind of boring and from Ikea. :) The ones at the venue would have been fine, too.
we bought them because our colors are gold and black and we wanted them to match we are also making a cabinet for all our wedding stuff after our day we spent $179.00 i believe well worth it
We bought ours and our wedding party flutes at the dollar store, so really nothing special LOL They're pretty cool looking and when it gets closer to the time, we are going to engrave them and make them a little fancier :)
I totally bought ours. It really wasn't that important, but I wanted something different.
I got four of them for $11.99... so the MOH and the BM can keep theirs :)
These are what I bought.
A friend who recently moved away (and therefore is unable to attend our wedding) bought us a pair of Vera Wang love knots champagne flutes to use at our wedding :) they are so beautiful!
We just used regular flutes for our toasting but for the server set we borrowed a gorgeous set from our pastor and his wife. More than 20 couples have used their over the last 22 years and the set was gorgeous!
@maisymay: Those are goreous! We're using the same cutting set my mom and dad used 36 years ago at their wedding :)
Oooh! That looks like the cake set I ordered. I love the embossing(?) on it. That's what I was searching for with the cake set.
We bought our own. They aren't super expensive or bridal. They are from Tommy Bahama for $22 each.

When it comes to the champagne toasting flutes, did you buy them yourself? Or were they a gift from someone else?
How much did they cost if you bought them yourself?
Did you get toasting flutes for your MOH and BM, too, or just for the bride and groom?
