- Wedding: July 2012
*Pissy mood alert* I think I am just ready for school to get over with (I am a para-professional and work with at-risk students) and wedding to be here already. I’ve been in a foul mood the last two days.
Future Mother-In-Law usually complains that we never come see her. However, every time we come see her she always wants us to do her chores. Don’t have 7 horses, three dogs, and three cats if you don’t want chores. Also, Future Mother-In-Law is a hoarder. Wants us to rearrange the basement for her before the wedding so she can get guests in there (do you know how long that will take?! We live an hour and a half away and have no weekends available from here until after the wedding!). Fiance and mine’s idea: Tell people to get a hotel and don’t promise room to people you can’t give room to. Future Mother-In-Law says she has the room, she just needs to organize. By the way, she has decided she is making Fiance sleep with his grandpa the night of FI’s wedding. Fiance = not happy and will get a hotel room. Future Mother-In-Law = not happy because her baby boy won’t stay with her and settle for sleeping on the floor the night before his own wedding. I don’t think this is an organizational issue, Future Mother-In-Law.
Future Mother-In-Law just cannot be patient. If we tell her we’re coming to see her and we’ll be there in an hour and a half, she calls after an hour, “Where are you?” “We will be there in a half an hour.” “Ok!” She says. No lie, 15 minutes later….”Are you almost here?” OMG Future Mother-In-Law WTF?
We deal with this every single time. Now today my Fiance, who is a choral director, is on a field trip with the kids in the town she lives in. She took off the whole day just to travel around with him. I told her I was not coming because I cannot take a whole day of work off for it. We told her this TWICE. She almost scoffed at the idea of me not taking time off. Well, I’m sorry. I need to make money to support you son’s and mine’s future. She has taken off 9 total days in May so far from her job as a retail salesperson, so that let’s you know how important working is to her (why would it be when your well-to-do husband gives you a monthly $2000 allowance?)
She calls me at work anyway. I obviously can’t answer phone call. I send her a quick text, “Hey @ work. What do you need?” Never answers me back. I suppose I should be happy about that seeing as how I’m moody and don’t want to talk to her anyway.
Sorry, just pissy and wanted to vent on this joyous WTF Wednesday. I invite you all the vent today 🙂
