    Wonderful! So pretty…

As another option for you to consider – just to scale it back a bit – I saw a post on pinterest the other day where they were mini caramel apples! Basically the minis were made with a melon baller, stick inserted, and then dunked in the caramel.

I was thinking of doing them – a small bite, if you will, because sometimes a whole caramel apple feels like a bit too much… This would probalby be a DIY item, however – as opposed to the full sized treats which you can get from various candy stores, bakeries, what have you…

    Great idea overall, though!

@linnylou_88:  IDK, I don’t think it would take that much time… Do you have anyone to help out?

I think the only thing to consider with doing them ahead of time would be to make sure the skin side is on top/all apple flesh is covered by caramel so that it doesn’t turn brown. Otherwise, I think they would keep for a day or two, no?

I think it would be wonderful.  I have made them before and as long as you are organized and have everything laid out beforehand it does not take that long to make a bunch of apples.  Just have a nice assembly line and you will be good to go.

@linnylou_88:  I’d house those in a half second. After I found my table, that is.

I LOVE the idea of combining a favor with a seating card. Those look elegant yet rustic.

Oooh, I especially love the idea of the mini apples!  Then guests can enjoy it right away without getting caramel all over their face from trying to shove a giant apple in their mouth.  LOL!

I love it! Especially if you use small apples, like it looks like in that picture. They’d be easier to eat.

I’ve made homemade caramel apples before and be forewarned that trying to get the apples into those cute little bags can be a nightmare. The apples are sticky and stick to the bags and leave a caramel trail all the way down.

I’m also having a fall wedding and was toying around with the idea of something like this: http://joandsue.blogspot.ca/2012/06/apple-with-caramel-cream-cheese-dip.html
