Yes, I think its too early. Ever notice all the “dress regret” posts…? Don’t be one of them!! lol!! Besides, dresses can go out of style & in 2011 or 2012, what’s “in” now may not be then. I know its hard, but wait it out! I would go at it again closer to the one year mark. Good luck!

I think that depends on two things: your shopping personality and your body.  Are you a person who has buyer’s remose regularly?  Will you regret not looking around more?  And with your body: does your size vary?  It can be hard to alter dresses more than 2 sizes, or so I’ve been told.

Regardless, the dress is gorgeous.  I absolutely love the texture and flow of the skirt.

I’d say no if you only had a year till your wedding but your taste can change a lot in two years. Plus if you haven’t booked a venue etc you may change the style of your wedding as well.

I agree with Camrie-venue style is very important!

I wouln’t buy it so early. Your entire wedding theme, colors, general feel, level of formality may change waaaaaay before you get married. I’d wait at least 6 months before looking, if not a year.

I am getting married in May 2012 and I ordered my dress already ONLY because I am moving away next year by this time away from my family. I wanted to have the experience with my mom of purchasing my gown and have it here to take it with me.

Your dress is beautfiul and actually it wont look dated in 2012 , I say that because if you look at the gown styles for 2011 dresses and obviously thats what 2012 brides are going to purchase a 2011 gowns. Its soft , simple and mainly natural waist style. So if you are very in love with the gown AND you know you want it and if you dont get it you might cry, I would say get it.

You base everything else after on the dress then 🙂 Hope this helps.

I’m biased since I got my dress a year and a half before my wedding date, but I think that as long as you can keep your weight relatively stable and stop looking at dresses after you buy, you should buy a dress you love if you can get it at a good price.  I haven’t checked the links (after all, I have “stopped looking at dresses” for the most part, following my own advice), but my guess is that if you truly love the gown and know roughly what style wedding you’re going for, you’ll be glad you went with it!

I’ve already bought my dress and my wedding isn’t until April 2012.  I say go for it.  I don’t think the styles will change THAT much over the next year.

This is really beautiful but definitely wait.  It will probably still be available closer to your wedding and you may see something you like better.  Lots of things change in 2 years so I would just hold off.

wayyyy too early.  You will probably change your mind 100 times by then.  And if you don’t, well, by the time you get married it will be an old dress (so imagine the discount!)

If you think you love this dress—just think of all the bueatiful dresses that haven’t even been made yet.  You have so much time to shop.  This dress isn’t going to disappear.
