AliceBxx:  Its never too early to shop and figure out styles that flatter your figure. As for purchasing, some salons say dresses can take up to 1 year to come in (depending the designer, where you are located etc etc.). My salon told me 6-9 months for my dress to come in and it was just over 3 months. I would go in and try on the dress to make sure its the one.  If you love it and can’t picture yourself wearing anything else than I would buy it. To avoid dress regret, try on multiple dresses/styles to make sure you keep coming back to this dress. Once you purchase your dress, quit looking at dresses and focus on other aspects of the wedding such as decor, bridesmaid dresses etc. Good Luck!

Don’t think too much, if you liked ithe dress by heart and fulfilling your all conditions like color, the way you have imagine it in your dreams ,then take it. Otherwise you have time and fashion gets change with time, you will find the another one. GOOD LUCK!

Mine is 14 months away and I already have gone dress shopping.  For me this is one of the most important things.  Once I can visualize what I will be wearing (at least the silhouette of the dress, not necessarily all the details) then I can have a clearer picture of the rest of the details.  Besides, dress shopping is fun!  🙂

I knew what dress I wanted when I got engaged and bought it 14 months before my wedding. It was a discontinued JCrew dress and I found it in my size on ebay after intensive online searches. I knew exactly what I wanted, though.

AliceBxx:  I have already bought my dress and I am not even engaged yet. Well my SO paid for it a month ago, hopefully that means our engagement is around the corner! But I loved the dress for about 6 months but never thought I would be able to afford it. Well a month ago the store was closing to relocate to another city and my dream dress was 75% off. So if you love this dress and know it’s the one, go for it!

The more time the better! Less panic about it not coming in on time, not having time or funds to get it tailored, etc!!!

I don’t think it’s too early if that’s what you really want to do! I know that’s the part I’m looking the most forward to! Have fun!

My wedding is 15 months away and last weekend I bought my dress. I just knew it was the one and so I bought it. I fell in love with it in pictures and it looked even more amazing in person.

I bought my dress 2 years before my wedding. It just came in and I’m getting married in 13 months! I love it just as much as I did the first time I put it on!
