It’s NYC but then again it’s pretty cheap…..just buy some from the floral district near 28th st on the west side.

My bouquet is 175 dollars, but I have exotic flowers and fiddle heads in it. >.> Try another florist.

Obscerd prices even for NYC. Get another quote or go back to them and ask how why?  They will try to get anything they can.

I paid $200 for my bouquet (in DC) – so I think the $60 cost is reasonable!

i feel compelled to mention….have you smelled a large bunch of baby’s breathe?  If not, go somewhere and do so.   The smell is very specific and many people find it unpleasant..others don’t care.  Important to know how you feel before you go through all this trouble.

also, maybe consider a silk bouquet of baby’s breath.

I wanted all baby’s breath arrangements for our wedding.  During the preliminary meeting with my florist , (south jersey ) she said that all baby’s breath would be very costly.  We went another way bc I reused to pay thst much for filler flowers!

I think you should also look into silk! I see bunches for 5 bucks….but seriously the floral district in manhattan will sell to you wihout a tax ID, but you may have to buy more than you want. Sometimes you can haggel them into letting you leave with less for a slightly higher unit cost or just haggel them way down for a bunch load. Ive done it many times.

Wow, that IS a lot of money for filler flowers. Have you gotten quotes from other florists Personally, I would just go buy some baby’s breath and do it myself 🙂 Especially since it’s just two things you would need to make. YouTube some videos on how to make it and see if that’s something that would be possible to do.

Good Luck!

The reason it costs $60 for a bouquet is because the florist will have to go pick up baby’s breath from the mart specifically for your bouquet. Then they will have to arrange it into a bouquet shape, wrap it, and then take the time to deliver it. Combine this with NYC prices and that’s how you get $60. If you were to call a florist and ask them to throw something together based on what they had in stock that day, it’d be less.

That said, I think you should just pick some up and arrange it yourself.

I love baby’s breath bouquets!  Nice choice 🙂  Personally, I think that’s a pretty reasonable price for NYC.  I’m sure making it yourself will save you money, but I guess you just have to think about what’s more important to you, saving the money or having one less thing to worry about and having it made for you. I would think since you’re eloping you want things to be easy and stress free which to me would mean having someone else make it for you! 😉

Sounds like it to me (but I live in the Midwest). I am doing some of my tables with Baby’s Breath centerpieces (4 bundles) for $18 a centerpiece. I agree…check around with other florists and see what’s up.
