I am hoping to get your opinion on something. My fiance and I are in constant debate about what our wedding favors should be. We’ve been to all the websites and we have a few options that we really like. The problem is that all the options we are seriously considering are edible (like cookies, candy, and a truffle thing). Normally I don’t consider this a problem (I love to eat!) but we feel that maybe it’s TOO much food? We are having a 5 course dinner (family style) including a fruit cup for dessert, wedding cake, and a chocolate fountain so is adding one more edible treat a bad thing? Should we look at something else?
I should also mention that the edible treats seem to be the least expensive for us which is why we are hugely considering them. We are having over 200 people at our wedding so favors are going to add up…quickly!
Would love to hear your ideas – thanks 🙂

I think an edible they can take home is great!

People LOVE food! Do what you want!

Guests definitely don’t have to eat the favor AT the wedding — or even immediately afterwards. As long as it’s something that keeps or can stay fresh for a day or two (more is just a bonus), an edible favor’s a great idea!
Can you / would you theme it to your location or season?

Probably wouldn’t be much theme to it in terms of location or season but I would definitely package it to match wedding colors.

I really like food favors – I feel at times that they can be more useful than other favors. Everyone will eat the food favor (unless they truly dislike that type of food) but not everyone might use a small picture frame or shot glass. Go for it!

I don’t think this is a problem but I’m biased since this is what we are doing for our wedding. Our wedding is about food and we thought that doing the candy buffet would be away for people to take something edible home.

I think it is a good idea. Some guests may eat it right when they sit down and others will take it home for later or eat it after dancing!

You can never go wrong with an edible favor. Ime, the favors are taken home anyway? Right?
Chocolate Truffles are always welcomed, even if you’re full!!!

I think a food favor is fine. Like other mentioned, they don’t have to eat it right there, just get something that will keep a couple days and is in a package of some sort to take home.

I think food favors are the best kind. Everyone likes that sort of thing, but a "stuff" favor can go either way.
