@jaijaig88:  Do you have a pic of the church? Are you holding the reception in the same building?

Does the reception space have the same color scheme?

The church colors that need to be considered are really hunter green and burgundy- as light cream and gold are neutrals and go with everything.Green is often part of the color scheme by default of the greenery used in the floral arrangements.

It really depends on how extensively these colors are used, whether or not you even have to consider these colors in your palette.

If the reception space has the same color scheme, I would do an internet search for variations of a color palette using those colors.

Do you know about http://www.theperfect palette.com  ? You can scroll down on the right, click on one of those colors and you will see all the palettes they have developed using that color.

burgundy and navy

The first shade of blue that I thought would work well with the colors going on is navy.

@jaijaig88:  Champagne and caramel are in the same color family as brown.

To be honest, it’s really hard to recommend anything not having any idea what the venue looks like.

As someone who picked navy and lime green, I’d suggest having at least one color picked that is common-ish for flowers.

@jaijaig88:  Navy is a neutral color. I know you dont like black so the areas some people would use black in their wedding, such as tuxes or accent colors, you can use navy.

@jaijaig88:  It will get confusing…. and frustrating. You probably will go thru A THOUSAND color schemes before you pic one. Trust me! I went thru the same thing and didnt end up picking a color scheme till 4 months before my wedding! And I started planning my wedding 2 years before! You have time to play with some colors. Try googling (or pinterest) different color schemes. I’m a visual person so that works for me.
