Well, the idea of "short" it subjective. I think if you can give them a time limit or a word limit, the time the speeches take up might be a bit more defined.
I agree. Have one Maid and one Man speak at rehearsal; & have the others speak @ the reception.

so for my wedding I have a maid of honor and a matron of honor, and my fiance has 2 best men...is that gonna drive people crazy with so many speeches?? I already said to keep them short, but i dont wanna take up too much of my dancing time with all the other stuff you have to do! anyone else have this same situation or have been to a wedding where there was this many speeches? any sugestions?
