My fiance and I went to look at wedding bands this weekend and I’m having serious regret. Our wedding colors include jewel tones of pink, purple and blue so I thought that I would have those color jewels in my ring. But between the jeweler and my fiance, I was convinced to stick with diamonds and do two rings. I’m afraid my e-ring gets lost when paired with the double bands and it just looks like a hunk of bling without any style or design. But I’m not totally sure that’s a bad thing…

(Don’t mind the fact they’re near the top of my finger… they’re not sized yet :P)

I think it looks beautiful and not too blingy at all! 🙂 I would stick with the double bands.

I have a similar style except both my bands are curved. I think it looks great! It is a lot of bling, but there’s nothing wrong with that IMO, lol.

@BigWhiteDress: Nope, not a bad thing at all! I love it! 🙂 Down the line why not add another thin stacker with color … one can never have too many rings 😉

Thanks, @missjayb, @Westwood and @wrkbrk 🙂 I’m not a big jewelry person so all the bling is a bit overwhelming to me but I guess it’s something good to get used to.

I think it looks great! I don’t think your engagement ring gets “lost” at all — it’s very pretty!

My setting looks very similar, I’ll only have one band until our 1 year anniversary when he’ll get the second but I, too, am extremely worried that the center stone will get lost in the sea of bling so I probably won’t wear them all together. I’d say go with one band, I’d want the center stone to stand out from the rest of the ring.

It’s a lot of bling, but in a tasteful way. I think it looks gorgeous with the double bands!

i think it looks fine. your bands aren’t too thick so 2 are ok.
i love bling.

Disclaimer: I’m British. For me personally, that set is a bit too much, sorry. But where you are it might not be at all. How about a single diamond band the same width as your e-ring if you’re unsure? Each of those bands looks ever so slightly thinner than your e-ring band.

I think I’m being convinced two bands are okay thanks to the helpful comments from you all. Thanks @Mrs. Camel, @Ilovewine and @mypinkshoes!
@QuirkySocialite: I love the idea of maybe doing one band now and the second for an anniversary. I’ll have to play around with just one band and see if that makes me feel better about things 🙂

@Audrey2: I appreciate your honesty 🙂 Actually, the band of my engagement ring actually was a wedding band we added a solitaire to. The original plan was just to go back to the store and get the same exact band but add a couple of colored stones to it. Unfortunately, the ring has been discontinued or else I would have had a much easier decision! I think the fact that I had my mind made up already about that wedding band being the band I was going to get is part of my problem with liking the double bands. I wasn’t prepared to go into the jewelry store and actually think – I thought it was already decided for me! Ha!
