First let me say that I love kids… Not only do my fiancé and I have tons of kids in our family but I am also a dance teacher and live in a small town where weddings usually become a town attraction. I can remember always being so bored at weddings as a kid.
so these are my ideas to keep the kiddos entertained and not driving their parents insane..
1. kids tables covered in paper with crayons and markers.as well as coloring sheets.
2. photo booth – this will also act as a form of fun for the adults.
3 jumping castle
4. room set up with a wii and games.
now… Will this be over the top?

leave out the jumping castle…it’s your wedding remember…however, the wii games is super smart

I think #1 & #4 should be sufficient.
I would be worried that the kids be in the photobooth my be disruptive to adults “waiting” or that they could get carried away… that’s all I’d be worried about on that
I think the jumping castle WOULD be over the top… plus those are things you want some supervision for.. so parents may feel like they need to be over there watching their kids.

The special tables and the game room are brilliant ideas. And the photobooth should be fun for everyone provided there’s supervision for your younger guests when they try it. But I have to agree that the bouncy castle may be too much. Otherwise sounds perfect!!!

U all are right. The jumping castle would also be an extra expense!! Thanks!

Yeah, and a jumping castle can get kids really worked up, too.
One thing I’m thinking about doing is having lawn games, like croquet and cornhole and maybe horseshoes or whatever. It’ll be a pretty laid-back wedding, and I see these as amusement for grown-ups and kids alike. Obviously it would depend on whatever outdoor space your venue might have, just throwing around ideas!
