Help! I just realized the entire wedding party is going to be a giant navy blob (at least in photos). My BMs are in short navy dresses. Both MOB and MOG picked out short navy dressed as well. The groom is in a dark blue suit, as is my dad!
yikes!! The wedding is this Saturday, so I think it’s probably too late to do anything. My mom did just wear a tan dress to my sisters wedding, but I hate to ask her to wear the same dress twice just to break up the colors. I could also ask, my dad to wear khakis and a blazer instead, but I think he liked the idea of being in a suit as father of the bride.
Any ideas? Or is this a silly 3am week of freak out?

@NavyBride2013: First of all, breathe! 🙂 It’s going to look fine. Let me break this down for you.
– are your bridesmaids carrying bouquets? are the flowers a contrasting colour? If the answer is yes on both counts, you’re good 🙂 If they’re not carrying bouquets, you’re not too late though, you can still arrange it, a few simple bouquets are a no-brainer for any florist, or you can DIY them. OR, if that’s completely out of budget for you, you can buy a long satin ribbon in another of your wedding colours (not navy! lol), cut it into appropriately long pieces and simply tie it around your BM’s waists as sashes.
– your father and your groom will be wearing shirts underneath their suits, right? What colour are they? I’m pretty sure they’re not navy, are they? 😉
Relax! Your wedding party isn’t going to look like abig navy blob, I promise 🙂

Won’t flowers break it up? I’m sure your flowers aren’t navy. I’m sure it’ll be ok and won’t look like a big navy blob

@MsMeow: +1 the ribbon sash. Any light or bright color will do. Also, you’re going to be in the vast majority of pictures and you’ll definitely break up the navy (assuming your gown isn’t also navy). If you need a little more color, consider some flowers in the bridesmaids’ hair (not sure of your theme) to draw the eye away from the dress.
Also, regarding the men, are their ties navy too? You could give them a different colored tie to break it up more, like this random photo I found:
