it is not too soon if its your dream dress just dont get it fitted until closer to the wedding date
Get the name of the designer, and the style number. Keep an eye out for it, if it becomes discontinued you can always buy the sample. I would however wait to buy until you are engaged. You know know what your budget will be, or what kind of wedding you are having. Have a little patience, if it is meant to be your dress it will be.

I agree with Chela429. I think it's a better idea to keep the information for the dress but not to buy the dress just yet. I thought I found "The One" the first time I went dress shopping, but then after a month or so, went shopping again and realized I hated it! Not even just sorta disliked it, but actually really believe it was the completely wrong dress for me. And that happened in a month! It probably won't be the same for you, but I'd wait.

Hey girls-
Okay so here is a little background. My boyfriend and I are not engaged. We've been talking marriage since very early on (he has been married before and I was engaged before so we are ready for the commitment). We've been together a year, live together, share bills, a dog, etc. I love Weddingbee so much-- and I loved it even before I started dating him! He thinks its cute how much I love wedding stuff.
We have a family stone that we are going to use for a ring, but he is saving up to buy me the pave setting I want. I tease him relentlessly about when I am getting it, and he thinks its is adorable and humors me (bless him). My point is, that the engagments isn't an "if" question, its a "when" question. We've talked dates, decided on a church, guest count, etc. We are defintiely getting married, just no ring yet!
So one of my best friends was about to move away to Boston (I live in TX) for 2 years. Before she left she wanted me to try on some dresses with her so she wouldn't miss out when I actually started shopping. We went and tried on some at AA and DB. It was fun but I didn't love anything. I've been looking at dresses for years! I've literally looked at hundreds of dresses online. I know exactly what I want.
So yesterday on a fluke I went into a little bridal store here in Waco just to look around. And oops! I found The Dress. It is incredible. It's everything I've ever wanted, and it's under $500!!!!
I know I shouldn't have gone looking before I was engaged, but I couldn't help it! Once I started I just couldn't stop!
So, what do you think hive? Is it too soon to get the dress even if I know its the one?
