you see, I looove Everlong, such a great song, as well as one more time
and to me...It kind of seems like it should be the other way around.
"one more time" is a more of a pump up, dancy type song, while "everlong' is well mello (amazing) but I could see your guests enjoying something more up beat, get them reved up for seeing you and your hubby!
have you thought of any other songs? is there any reaosn why you chose "everlong"?
i think it's great when a couple uses a fun song as their grand entrance! my fiance and i are dancing our first dance to etta james "at last" because its romantic and beautiful and will make everyone cry lol but our grand entrance song is bon jovi "livin on a prayer" and we are super excited!!!
@Chantellamus - hmmm....I see what you mean, I'll suggest that idea to him and see what he says
We really like Digital Love by Daft Punk as well but it takes so long for that song to pick up ya know?
I love the Foo Fighters, but I have to agree with @Chantellamus that Everlong seems so much more mellow than One More Time. When I think of entrance songs, I think something upbeat, fun... something to pump up the crowd and make them cheer. Do you and your FI love any other Foo Fighter songs? Or is Everlong sentimental and meaningful to you guys?
Well, most of the songs 'special' to us are already being used in the ceremony or other parts of the reception...we kinda left this one to last to pick out. lol
He likes the song February Stars by them but it's very very slow and mellow.
Right now the idea to switch the two (everlong and one more time) is looking like the best idea so far...
I think if you found a way to maybe edit the songs so like you get to walk in at the upbeat chorus it could work. I love the idea of people using something unique like that.
And omg mrsmurray I think I might steal your idea after I just said about people being unique lol! I love Bon Jovi and believe me after this wedding we're going to be living on a prayer. Ha I need to find a place to have an entrance to before I pick a song lol!

Okay so we've been attempting to find a good song for our 'grand entrance' at the reception. The wedding party is coming into "One More Time" by Daft Punk, so we're not exactly your Shania Twain/Etta James couple.
Anyway, his favorite band ever is the Foo Fighters. We've both always liked the classic "Everlong" and have contemplated it as our grand entrance song at the reception.
What do you think? Too weird? Thoughts?
