I was off this past weekend and yesterday and decided I really needed to check some stuff off the massive To Do List…
As much as I love the web and the ‘Bee… oh my gosh did I get a LOT accomplished!
Since I feel like I made some major progress, I just *had* to come back and play online… you know… for wedding research 😉
I’m thinking I may institute a 1 day a week internet ban and see how it goes!
And I decided… NO internet on our minimoon! (which I booked this weekend not playing online ;))
Ahhh. Checking things off the list feels good, doesn’t it?!

@thewheelsonthebus: I so need to do that. I think I’ll give your one day ban rule a go. As I get so distracted by this site.

@thewheelsonthebus: I just talked last night to some bees about taking a break. ‘m thinking it’s going to be a week long one though…
Maybe next week. I need to get back into “motivation mode”

I do this on the weekends, which is why I’m rarely around on the weekends. 🙂
Sometimes I even do it during the week after I get home!

An internet ban is such a good idea and I need it! It’s my finals week and I get so procrastinatey because of the internet (especially weddingbee!). You’ve inspired me to take a break from the internet for the well-being of my grades haha. Thank you 🙂

Just make sure you ladies all come back 🙂
It really was nice, and I definitely plan on doing the one day a week!

That’s such an awesome idea. I was just off the bee for 11 days whilst on the pre-wedding moon with Fiance and whilst I missed it, I didn’t miss having my morning disappear into the world of WB. Now as we were holidaying, I didn’t get anything productive done for the wedding, but I may try the one day per week thing….. starting tomorrow…. or the next day….. or maybe the day after that… 🙂

I really need to do this. Once I’m on the couch with my trusty macbook, I am not getting up. Lets be honest though, unless half the internet crashes like it did a few weeks ago, I don’t think I could ever stay off WB let alone the whole internet for more than a few hours. I’m an addict, I admit it.

Sometimes Fiance has to pull the plug on my internet connection so I can get my schoolwork done! It’s soooo difficult to stay away from Weddingbee…..or wedding blogs…..or expedia…..etsy….etc etc etc.

@UpstateCait: as I sit here laptop in place, feet up with my butt planted on the couch… I know what you mean 😉 (at least I’m working on tissue paper folding while I’m doing it)
The reality of less than 2 months to go and a shit ton of stuff to do forced me to do it! I went online only when I needed to order/check on something to cross other stuff off the list.
So needed. Helped clear a lot of the mental clutter out 🙂

Hey girl, I totally know what you mean! I do that every now and again and it’s so liberating. But then I just get sucked back in…
SO, where’d you book your minimoon? I’m so excited to know!

@mightywombat: We’re going with 2 days in Portland, ME and 2 days near Portsmouth, New Husband… we really wanted to do Bar Harbor but I wouldn’t shell out the cash for it… and we nixed Burlington since we go there fairly often anyway… but still may tack on a day at the beginning or end there.
I booked Marriotts with a pretty big discount (yay for being a former employee still in touch with people who can give me those!) and no penalty for canceling in case I find a deal on something else.
Still lotsa brewery visiting planned, but YAY for a much much needed massage and fancy room service day 🙂

@thewheelsonthebus: That sounds fabulous!! Good call on Bar Harbor, actually – unless you’re planning on hiking/biking in Acadia, IMO it’s just a really overpriced tourist trap. Portland is amazing, though!
Do you have any fave restaurants or other places in Burlington? This will be our first time there.
