I missed it but that doesn't surprise me that Richard one. I did like who they picked for the final 3/4 (in honesty I didn't really care for Carla but the others were fine.)
SO happy for Richard! I was going to be so upset if he didn't win, Mike was apparently an awesome cook, but his attitude really put me off of him.
DH and I were ecstatic! When they announced Richard we literally "woo hooed" and high fived haha
Richard was the front-runner from the beginning. I had no doubt he would be in the final, but I was surprised Mike made it to the end. He knocked it out of the park, though.
I think the line up may have been different if poor Antonia didn't get paired with Morimoto in the previous challenge. I would have freaked out if I had to make a meal for him. Talk about major intimidation factor.
People seem to have a love-hate reaction with Carla. Personally, I love her. When the season started, FI and I thought the final three would have been Richard, Jen and Carla/Dale (Carla-me, Dale-FI).

Yea, I don't know I am just glad Richard won. I feel like he needed it more than Mike. He has a family, and I know regardless he probably would of been great, but like I said he has a family he needs to support, and he even said that last night that sometimes Chef's have to do things for finincial reasons, and that's so true! But yea, Mike was great also, I just didn't like him as much. I don't know if I would of been pissed if he won, but probably dissapointed. I actaully liked Mike on his season, but I did want the other Mike to win, so that worked out. Fi wanted Mike's brother to win Bryan/Brian. But yea I wooed! really loud, and FI was like "Shhh! We are going to have people come over and complain about how it's too loud over here." Realistically though most of the people around us are younger and don't have a family yet, so I wasn't too worried. But anyway I'm kind of sad that's it over now. What am I going to do Wed. nights?!
@Scottielass- I liked Carla a lot too, but she always gets sent home when she tries to do something different. She's like "I would never do this, but...." and I am just like "Arrgh! Why!?" Hahaha. She wasn't my favorite, but I def. love her personality, and she is so sweet! and yes, I would have died if I had to cook for Morimoto. I always feel like the asain chefs are the hardest to cook for, but asain food can be so hard to cook, espically noodles, those have to be just right. Can't be undercooked or overcooked or they give you so much grief, same thing with rice, haha. Morimoto is awesome though, haha.
Carla was my favorite. I didn't watch it last night, but I knew Richard would win. Idk if I'm excited though. Hah.
I'm glad Richard won but I really wanted a Richard/Antonia finale! I liked her a lot more than Mike (his attitude always kinda put me off). Antonia was my fav from the start but Richard was my second pick so I was glad to see him take home the prize (he was DH's pick from day 1).
I was definitely happy Richard won, but I was also a fan of Carla's and also Jen's...can't believe she got eliminated so fast! Very dissapointing...
I thought Richard was going to win his original season, and I was cheering for him to win All Stars from the start. What a great talent!
Also, I can't imagine Mike winning after he won that $5k quick fire using a recipe stolen from Richard's notebook.
I wanted Mike to win, but in the end I think if Richard hadn't, he'd have had a heart attack/killed himself or something because he was SO set on the win above all, where Mike wanted to win but also wanted the challenge.
Can't wait to eat at Mike's restaurant when it opens, though!
Blais owning a burger joint sums it up - it's about getting ahead, not the art...just my opinion!
@jindc: That's just one of the 4 restaurants he's had though. And personally, I'd LOVE to eat at FLIP, his burger joint!
I'm glad Richard won. He definitely needed it more than Mike and would have been way more crushed if he'd lost. Mike's ego can handle losing, Richard's would have crumbled. Not like that's a reason to choose. I do think Richard had a better food and gave a better final challenge. I loved Antonia though. Would have liked to see Richard/Antonia rather than Richard/Mike!
I loved Richard in his original season (although I also loved Stephanie, and I was glad she won), so I was totally rooting for Richard this season. I also really liked Carla. I didn't like Mike in his original season, and I didn't like him now. He's so egotistical and arrogant to me, but Richard is very down-to-earth, humble and sweet.
Mike was so close - but we were also glad Richard won!
We were totally shocked that Richard didn't win his season - very shocked. So I felt from that disappointment he deserved to win, plus he kicks butt!
We were disappointed to learn that Mike has a resturant in DC, since we were just there visiting a few weeks ago. And since he did so well, we wished we would of tried his resturant :(

WOO! I am so happy Richard won! Richard was my favorite throughout the whole season, so I am really happy! I have to give Mike props though, he is a great chef also!
