I think it would be a HUGE crowd pleaser - everyone associates that song with that great scene from the movie, and it would tickle everyone from multiple generations. Maybe the lyrics aren't the most wedding-appropriate, but it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I think if you want to do it, then do it, and make sure someone videotapes it!

I think the lyrics are kinda iffy for first dance. Maybe you could have him use it for the garter removal? Him and the guys could really do something cute with that!
I think the lyrics are WAY off for a romantic first dance, but totally second using it for the garter toss, or maybe even doing a group dance to it, We've lost that loving feeling, now its gone, gone, gone, seems like a bad statement to make, and guaranteed some people will read into it. We danced to falling in love in a coffee shop and everyone asked if we met when I worked at starbucks...
Thanks everyone for your input! I think I will chose another song for the Bride/Groom dance, but am DEFINITELY using "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" for FH's dance with his guys (:

My FH is in the Navy and one of our favorite movies is TOP GUN. There's a scene in the movie when the sailors are at the bar and the Song "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" by the Righteous Brothers comes on. My FH LOVES to sing that song to me any/every chance he gets--whether its on the radio, in the movie, etc.
Is it an appropriate song to dance to as new husband & wife? The lyrics aren't very lovey dovey, but the song has sentimental meaning to us. We also wanted to choreograph a cute ensemble with the bridal party since a few of his groomsmen are also sailors; does this sound entertaining and possibly cute OR does it sound lame?
