Im not a diamond girl and I cant afford to be a diamond girl. I have an engagement ring 7 years old now. it a stainless steel ring my boyfriend bought me when i gave birth of my daughter. So he told me that for the wedding he want to give me a real ring… lol… well something that i would like. I found this ring in overstock.com and love it. its my style. its wrong to want this ring as a wedding ring instead of using a wedding band?? does any of you have a topaz ring?? if you do would you post a real pic?? i would like to see one…

I personally dont see anything wrong with getting topaz over a diamond. Its afordable and beaufitul. How does you Fiance feel about you getting a ring over a wedding band?! I think its a great idea and a beautiful ring!

I didn’t want a diamond because I just didn’t find any that made me swoon! So I ended up with an Aquamarine. Which is mine and his birthstones. The ring is everything I could dream of and I constantly look at it everyday. Get what makes you happy!
Oh and btw there is a post of colored 3-rings on here you might check out.

If YOU love that ring, then it is the ring for you! E-rings do NOT have to be diamonds! My ring is blue sapphire with diamonds on the side. I also have a light blue topaz ring that I love! (It looks like the picture below, but blue, not pink!)

I’m another not diamond girl- both because of taste and finances. I looked at white topaz and considered it briefly but ended up going with black diamonds. My opinion is as long as you love it its the perfect ring regardless of what it is

Best thing is, Topaz is one of the hardest non-diamond gemstone!

That’s a beautiful ring :-). If you love it – get it!

It is a gorgeous ring! If you love it then get it! There is NO rule that it has to be a diamond.

I think non-diamond rings are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, and that one is not an exception. If it’s what you love, go for it!

I have a mystic topaz ring (that we got from Overstock) as my engagement ring. The band broke, so we had to have it reset in a new band and setting, but it’s still the original stone, and I love it. That’s what is important – that you love it.

Ditto *Esrockhold* – Topaz is an 8 on the Mohs Hardness Scale (Diamond is a 10). So that’s really good. You might also look at White Sapphire. I have a ring accented with white sapphires and they are really sparkly and clear and strongly resemble diamonds. Incidently, Sapphires are a 9 on the Mohs Scale too 🙂
Good Luck and I love the White Topaz ring you posted !
P.S. I wore this London Blue Topaz ring that my husband gave me for my “Something Blue” on my wedding day – I love Topaz! [attachment=599764,78323] [attachment=599764,78324]
