Lift weights.  Lift heavy weights.

Sprinkle in some cardio- like spin class, jogging, zumba, swimming, whatever.

Eat clean- no processed/frozen/fast food.

Drink water.

Focus on lean protein, whole foods, and enjoy treats in moderation.

You did it before- you can do it again!!

Anyone who eats five bigmacs with cheese is going to die earlier than someone who cooks at home.  Does that make you feel better?  Also don’t bigmacs come with cheese already?  I’ve never had one.

@gigglebox:  I know exactly how you feel because I am 5 2″ and I have been every weight you just mentioned in your post over the last 3 years. I’m doing a ton of hiking. Seriously the cal burn you can get from a good hiking trail is amazing and beats the treadmill hands down. I actually love my body best at 120 pounds and right now I have 15 left to drop. You can do it girl just find a exercise you enjoy. That’s the biggest challenge. Or at least it was for me.

@gigglebox:  Are you tracking all your food and exercise? If you are working out more, are you eating enough?

So my question to you Bees is: What do/did you do to be in tip-top shape for your wedding?

Work out daily.  Even if I take a long, brisk walk (to me is not much), I’m always moving.

Lift heavy weights.  Weight training, building, etc

HIIT – high intensity interval cardio

Eat a clean diet – no sugar, , no juice/soda/sweet drinks, no carbs (other than vegetables), no grains, no processed foods, no starches, no legumes. Eat lots of veggies, good quality protein, and lots of good fat. I do dark chocolate in moderation but its very minimum.  I am addicted to certain foods so moderation with most things doesn’t work for me.

Drink lots of water.

Wedding or no wedding, I do this always.

@gigglebox:  Any snacks?  You might be going between meals too long and messing with your blood sugar.  Sometimes adding in a healthy snack or two during the day, like almonds, for example, will boost your metabolism.  Sounds strange but it can work.  Just make sure snacking is limited to only 100 calories and protein is best.

@gigglebox:  Weight Watchers, cardio 3x a week, and starting a weight lifting class soon.  Plus, some yoga thrown in for good measure.  And lots of water, of course.

I’m 5’4″ and am only planning to lose down to 138; much smaller than that is too small for me, but I know everyone carries weight differently.  So 125-130 for someone who is 5’3″ sounds about right to me; 110 sounds a little too small, IMO.  I have lots in the chest department and pretty muscular (AKA fat! Ha!) thighs, though.

@gigglebox:  Ya, you are definetly not eating enough. I use to track everything (it’s free and you can there is an app for your phone), including food and exercise.

@gigglebox:  It doesn’t sound like you’re eating enough, especially for breakfast.  What kind of bar is it?  Most bars are full of sugar and very little quality protein.
