what about using a snowflake? i bet you could find a cute ornament and make them into cake toppers.

i don't know how christmassy you're going for, but you could get vintage salt and pepper shakers on ebay that are wintery.

Cute!!!! You guys are awesome. I have looked high and low for snowflakes but maybe I need to look again, the picture you attached is really cute.
And I never thought of using salt and pepper shakers!
What about some ornaments stacked up in your wedding colors. You could do 2 or 3 different cake toppers on each to mix it up. Sounds adorable!!!
I was going to say an ornament in your wedding color too, or you could make them look like a little gift with a bow on top.
How about a single monogram cake topper? The small monogram is $12.50 at www.platinumgoodies.com -

If you're looking to go the monogram route, I just bought my topper at Michael's. It was $14.99, but I had a 50% off coupon from AC Moore that they matched, so I paid $7.49.
I do like the idea of ornament toppers for your wedding date though!

We are doing a cake on each table. The cakes are 8in rounds I believe, and being decorated to look wedding cake-ish by our baker.
Each one will be on a raised cake stand, and I am looking for a way to dress the cakes up a bit. I would like to have a cake topper of some sort for each one. I've noticed that most of the conventional wedding cake toppers start around $30. There's no way we can budget in a $30 cake topper for all 10 tables. Does anyone have a reccommendation or idea about an affordable way for the cakes to each have a topper. We are going with a winter them, and snowflakes are kind of our coordinating factor if this helps.
I've been thinking out of the box and am pretty DIY savy, but just haven't come across anything that seems to fit. Thanks in advance for your help!
