Ok Ladies!
I am in need of help! I first went to try on David's Bridal CT2406 with my bridesmaids and instantly loved it. NOW, I'm not to crazy about lace OR beads, but this dress was just beautiful. I then went to try it on again for my family (mother, sisters, and GRANDMOTHER - who is whom I am most concerned of). They Loved it as well. So I bought the dress....AND THEN....I found another dress. I went alone to Alfred Angelo try on dress 2034 to see how I would feel about it and I LOVE it too! They are both very very different. Just a little extra. We are not having the ceremony at the church if that helps. Please tell me which dress you think fits better with an indoor ceremony and reception in mid September. Thanks!
I also vote for the 2nd dress. It hugs your curves in a good way :)
Hmmm... I like them both on you! The lace one is definitely more elegant and formal. The second one seems more fun. You're also smiling more in the second dress!
Dress 2. And speaking from experience look at your face in both pictures and compare.... From looking at you I think it's clear you love the 2nd one too!
I would agree that I think the 2nd one fits better. Maybe it is just a matter of alterations though. They both look nice, but I like the way your curves look in the 2nd dress.
I like the first one. It shows off your waist.
And don't you watch Say Yes to the Dress? They always stress stop shopping once you buy one! You like the first one, everyone likes the first one, why shop more?
I like the David's bridal one.. it's very classic and elegant. I think it's the most flattering too, it makes your waist look tiny!
The Alfred Angelo is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. Totally the best one, hands down. Add a poll and you'll see :)
Thanks All! And Yes I DO watch Say Yes to the dress. I just happened to take my MOH to look at dresses at Alfred Angelo and saw this one. It was a nagging feeling after that....I HAD to try it on. I'm also attatching a photo of my shoes (which I so happened to get BEFORE my dress!) I love shoes :)
I hate to vote for the second dress, since you have already purchased the first, but I LOVE the 2nd dress on you. However, if you cannot afford another purchase, the 1st dress is also gorgeous on you and your guests will be impressed : )
i have to agree with most PPs on here, that the second dress is much more flattering to your figure. the neckline adds something to it too.
Those shoes will go great with it. If you had doubts then you did the right thing. I listened to mine and it sure paid off.
The first dress is MUCH more beautiful. It just needs to be altered to fit you just right. I think the waist needs to be more snug, and maybe wear a crinoline where the flare starts slightly below the waist area. Turning the neckline into a sweetheart wouldn't be a bad idea either. Yes, the second dress shows off your figure more but it's kinda plain and not memorable. The first dress would make me stand up and take notice, in the second one I'd think you look like million other brides. Tighter, figure-showing dresses win on WB polls 99% of the time so I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that you bought the wrong dress based on that.
Definitely the second dress. I like them both, but the look on your face in the first dress just screams "not this one!" to me. Definitely go for the second.
Also wante to mention your first dress is "inspired" by this Vera Wang dress Jessica Simpson wore.
First dress, with a sweetheart neckline alteration. Really has a WOW factor to it! You look stunning (even though you're not smiling :p)
Yes but Jessica Simpson was married 8 years ago!!! The Alfred Angelo is way nicer. :)
I didn't vote since I didn't know which was which. But I prefer the form fitted dress since you look happier in it and it is more flattering. Either one will be beautiful.
Here is why I didn't smile in the David's Bridal pick....we had been there for about 2 hours and one of my bridesmaids had an attitude so I just wanted to be done with trying on dresses (I know this sounds dumb). I don't like to inconvenience anyone and that's exactly what I felt like I was doing. But.....in reality I like both. And it's harder to choose because they are both sooo different!!
Ah fair enough. But, I do prefer the 2nd one, it's more flattering on your body shape.
I really like the first one. :) It seems more flattering to me.
The first dress looks great on you. And the addition of a sweetheart neckline, like Jessica Simpson's dress, could be gorgeous. So I personally think you should stick with your first choice. But regardless, of what all of our opinions are, and even those of your family and friends, you should follow your heart and get the dress you love the most. It is, after all, your wedding day :)
I prefer the second one. And I think it goes better with the shoes. :)
i love them both. the second dress is more figure flattering but the first one is so beautiful and bridal! I would get the first one. I think it is the ribbon around your waist cuts you off in a weird place. maybe play around with that. But the first one is sooo amazing on you...i really hope you get it! but the second one is lovely as well.
wow this is a tough one. i couldn't vote because i just love them both on you! i'm a big fan of mermaid/trumpet styles, but the lace looks really beautiful on you!
@DanielleZara: Eh, a beautiful classic dress is always beautiful, despite the year :) There's a reason she's always on those on top 10 celebrity wedding dresses list. And I'm not a fan of hers at all.
Even though I love the pop of red in the second dress, I think the first dress looks way better on you!
I vote the second one. I tried on the first one at Davids and it was super heavy (but maybe you don't mind that) I love sweetheart necklines and corset backs, so maybe I'm just being biased.. :)
Definitely the 2nd one.
I'm sorry, but I just don't find the first one figure flattering on you. The 2nd one is far more flattering on your shape and you just look happier in it. Plus, the black and red sash is awesome.
I vote the first one...I think it just needs some alterations but it is such an elegant and classic look!
I voted for the second one, very unique and it fits you well!
