So, I’ve already purchased both of these dresses, but I’m still a little torn on which one to go with.
Dress #1 was ordered sight unseen, so I was surprised when it came in a creamy dark ivory instead of the eggshell-like ivory that I imagined thanks to the stock photo. In the pic, I’m not wearing the petticoat, but it would have a more ballgown full skirt.I thought I liked that it was kind of modern but still bridal at the same time. I’m also not wearing shoes in this pic.
I’m not sure why I decided to buy another dress, but I bought dress #2, the mermaid lace one. I thought I was absolutely in love with it, but the more I look at it, the more I see parts of my body that I am VERY unhappy with (post baby saggy belly stuffs that no amount of spanx can fully hide.) Now that I look at the lace, I can’t help but think that it looks like an old-lady-doily pattern. I’m wearing my wedding heels and the mermaid petticoat in this pic, but ignore the stupid face I’m making.
Talk some sense into me and give me opinions on which dress to go with!

They’re both beautiful, but FWIW, I love just how tiny you look in the lace gown! I think it’s totally gorgeous!
All that being said, you’ve got both dresses…any thought to wear one for ceremony and the other for reception?

@DeadUtopia: I like the lace dress better! Your body looks great, trust me. I think this style fits you better and looks more bridal. Just my opinion, you look great in both!

no. 2 of course, and if you ask me, i prefer beaded sash than a big black ribbon. you’ll be more stunning.

I like the lace dress better 🙂 You look great in it !

Lace – the first one adds unnecessary bulk where the lace one makes you look super sleek!

I agree with PP. The lace one does so much better for your figure, which is better than I think you think it is lol. I don’t see anything bulging honestly. You look very elegant in the lace.

Ha! You guys are too kind! But I think y’all are reaffirming my decision. I had to have bought it for a reason and that lace one was so far over budget but I didn’t care because I loved it. 🙂
And I’m not sure that I want to wear the sash with it. I bought it for the first dress but I’m thinking I’ll buy a sparkly beaded one instead.

isn’t it funny how we see little “imperfections” in our own bodies that noone else can see? your figure looks amazing in that second dress! you have a perfect hourglass – it highlights your little waist and the sweetheart neckline is really flattering on the top too. i don’t think the lace says “doily” at all!

I love #2! You look great!

I think they both look nice, and you’re too harsh on yourself. I preferred the first one because when you add the crinoline and poof it out, I think it will make your waist look tiny. The belt on the lace dress does nothing to my eyes but widen your waist for some reason.

They are both lovely, but the second oe is my favourite!

Dress number two looks classic, elegant, and flatters your figure perfectly. It kills dress one.

Dress 2 definitely. You look amazing in it!

Very nice, number 2 is gorgeous – but definitely go with a lighter sash, that one is really taking away from the dress.
