I’m doing my own centerpieces for the wedding. I recently stumbled upon Curly Willow and Orchids with single vases. Then i discovered Manzanita branches and my head got all confused….
The manzanita we’d use would be a darker shade and the orchids white.. but idk.. i really like both looks..

I love the density of the manzanita branches. I think it add’s depth to the piece and I love the way the orchid’s stand out (to me they seem lost in the curly willow branches)

I love them both. If the manzanita is a dark shade then maybe you could use both? Have different thinkness’ and heights.

They’re both fab! I have manzanita, but I think it just depends on what you want to decorate it like =D

I love the height of the manzanita – I think that’s what makes it more elegant. If you can get the curly willow with similar height, I’d think the two would be interchangeable.

To be honest they looked the same to me besides the color…both very beautiful!! So in my opinion I would go with the cheaper one!! I’m cheap..haha!!

You could always do half your tables with one and half with the other… more visual variety, since these seem like they would compliment each other well 🙂

Have you ordered these yet?

Or you can do what we did and use both! This is a mock table set up – still working on it – set up in my Aunt’s basement. The crystals in the vase will be lighter and there will be lights in the vase to illuminate it also.

I’m using curly willow. One of my inspiration looks is the first picture you posted.

My vote is for curly willow. I have been toying around with both, but at some point, I started thinking manzanita actually has a “creepy” vibe to it. Not to offend anyone…but I prefer the softer, branches of curly willow. Manzanita almost looks like a mini tree, while curly willow is definitely branches. I guess it depends on what overall look you are trying to achieve. Either way, both are fun! Good luck!

The dark manzanita works great with our color scheme, and my parents have a bunch in their front yard so I got it for free.

I prefer manzanita just because of the density, like SandDollar said. Although if you used something dense with the curly willows, like a pomander or the moss ball that’s in the inspiration pic, the density would be there for the willows.

I’m with VirginiaMarie. I think the curly willow (first pic) is softer and better suited to the orchids. I also think that the curly willow tend to be more consistant. I’ve seen a few people struggle with the varied shapes of the manzita because they are not uniform. So that’s something to consider too.
Is it bad that I would just price them out and see which is less expensive?
