- Wedding: April 2010
Fiance and I are having a very non-traditional ceremony. I thought that I had already picked what song I was going to walk down the aisle to. He hasn’t been involved in many details of the wedding and I’m sure that he hasn’t given thought as to what song I’d be walking into…so I want it to be a surprise to him.
I had planned on walking down to “At Last” by Etta James. That’s kinda become our song. However, tonight we were sitting on the couch and a commerical came on. There was a very nice instrumental song playing in the background of this commercial. Turns out, it was Bach Cello Suite No. 1. He looked at me and said, “I have always loved this piece of music. I don’t know why, but I love it.”
It would be perfect, in my opinion, to walk down the aisle to…but so would “At Last”. So what’s your thoughts? Do I go with the simple instrumental song, with no lyrics, or do I go with the love song with lyrics?
