@jlc3:  I’m not sure what it rents for now, it was a year or so back when I found it online, but try St. Lawerence Hall in Toronto.  It’s really gorgeous, plenty of space, and I think the price wasn’t too bad.

What is your price point? I know of a few halls in the Mississauga/Brampton area.

I know someone who is getting married at QSSIS Hall in Scarborough, they have A LOT included (during peak wedding season), and have managed to keep it very affordable (when I heard to price per plate, I was amazed!!!)

Hey there!

I think St Lawrence is in the 1800-2500 range for rentals.  If you are okay with a Lion’s club vibe (ie casual reception) I just rented out the Legion Hall at 243 Coxwell Ave for my stag and doe for $475.  Not sure if they do wedding receptions but I don’t see why not?  Only thing is, the walls in there are like a baby blue colour, so if you had a specific colour theme it might not work. But it did have a cute little Tiki bar!

There is also another hall in the Beverly St. George area that I think was pretty cheap, although I never got the chance to see it myself. http://www.beverleyhalls.com/

I think they quoted me $650 for the hall rental, but if you are doing open bar, of course it may be more.

Good luck!!!

How many people?  Are you looking for them to provide the food too?  There are a number of halls that have a person minimum and then don’t have a site fee.

@jlc3:  If you’re okay with the west end, try Payal Banquet Hall, Chandni Banquet Hall, and Maple Banquet Hall. They have packages for buffet service that can cater to that budget. If you want to provide your own food, try the William Lea Room in the Leaside Gardens Arena.

Mississauga Convention Center is pretty reasonable. We do our company parties there and it’s not too expensive.

did you try restaurants?  During my search i found that most restaurants were cheaper then renting a banquet hall.   That was my experience anyway.   You just have to spend the reqired amount on food and drink  and they waive the rental fee.
