I own some of her other shoes but have never bought the flats b/c of the "stretch" back on them.  I'm not a huge fan of that on other shoes that I've worn.  Are these any better?

    Thanks!

First of all, love TB with all of my heart.

...buuuttt her flats with the stretch part on the back don't agree with my feet though. :( I have one pair of them and I rarely wear them because of it. They rub funny. So if you really really want them, buy them, but invest in some bandaids that stay on and don't show. :p

Really?  $200 worth of shoes and I have to buy band aids?  :)  No thanks!

My mom has a pair as well, and she wears hers pretty frequently. She said she had blisters for a week, but then they were 'okay.'

But they might work for you! Don't necessarily take my word for it. They can't completely suck, because everybody and their sister has them around here. :p

I LOVE my pair. I wear them allllllll of the time. It took about a day for the leather to get just a tad softer in the back for me, but I never got any blisters. My mom rubbed a little bit of lotion on the back of hers and it made them soft and comfy right away.

Thanks for this thread,Miss Sapphire.  I've been debating buying a pair of TB flats, because I'm going to need some flat shoes that are stylish and comfortable for student teaching.  However, I've been skeptical because of the "stretch" back--was worried about blisters.  I guess I might have to try them on to check it out, hopefully they'll be better on in person.  You're right, MS, that's a lot of money to pay for shoes to end up with blisters!

I LOVE my TB flats.  I have two pairs (silver & purple) and I wear them all the time.  I never had blisters with my silver ones, they are the most comfy flats ever... and the purple ones after wearing them once or twice were perfect.  There are definitely my go to for flats!

Related: there are Tory Burch outlets in some of the "premium" outlet malls if you're looking to pay a little less than $200.

I think you need to try them on at home to make sure they are comfortable for you. I got a TB pair and hardly wear them because the rubber band would give me pretty bad blisters if I wear them for like an hour.

I would just monitor the Outnet or something similar for some flats. I like the TB ones, but there are just much much cuter flats for the price. For instance, Loub flats yesterday for 150. For serious.

Oh I love those shoes... I just can't justify the cost right now. Maybe after the wedding?! :)

I am looking to do an overhaul of my look and I'd love to start with shoes :)

Thanks all!  I knew that you guys would have great feedback.

I really need a new pair of black flats.  I wear them so much traveling that I can justify the price :)  I just won't tell "the dude"!

@miss sapphire- my favorite favorite pair of black flats that i own are these. they're fantastic, classic, and don't kill my feet. more than tb, but totally worth it.

I cannot wear them!  The elastic digs into my heel & feels like hard plastic...no thank you!  Sigh.

I wonder what the reasoning for the scrunchy thing on the back? I've always wondered that, actually. All of the other TB shoes I have/have had have been super comfortable.

I had them about two years ago, and I got rid of them. I wear ballet flats all the time and the TB flats with the elastic killed my feet! You know how after about a week of wear, your ballet flats get all molded to your foot shape? And comfy? Well the scrunchy back on the TB means that the shoe never "stretches" out. Its just tight and uncomfrotable. I would NOT reccomend them.

I LOVE THEM! I have a pair and wear them all the time. I think after wearing them like 5 times the stretch back got comfortable... just don't walk all around NYC for a day in them- I made that mistake and OUCH!
