I had been using prescription skin stuff and it wasn't working, i just took the plunge and spent a small fortune on Murad stuff and i think its workibg but its bringing everything to the surface so there is SO much to pop...its hard for me to pull myself away from the mirror, lol.
YES! I actually picked a whitehead out of the side of FH's face one time... it had been there for MONTHS and i just plucked it really fast! it was soooo awesome... i dangled it in front of my mouth and he was so disgusted with me lol.
Ouch I couldn't peirce the deep ones myself but I can't stand seeing whiteheads.
as i put a paper bag over my head to confess..... occassionally if hubby eats crappy bad food he will get a few pimples on his back and yeah, i'll pop them.
I keep needles in the bathroom for this purpose. DH doesn't know what they're for and so when he asks I tell him they're for my "eyebrow threading" which you totally don't need a needle for but it creeps him out enough to stop asking more questions lol :)

i once made hubby steam so i could extract some blackheads from his chin and hes greek so he has a unibrow and ear hair thing happening so i wax it..... honestly the screaming from him you would have thought i was cutting his mandhood off
I do it too! I have really long hair so if I get one on my back, FH will get rid of it for me.
@eloping: I knew a girl in college who waxed her boyfriend's unibrow while he was sleeping (obviously woke him up) because he wouldn't let her do it.
I'm a pimple popper too. I always douse them in neosporin afterwards and they usually clear up by the next morning.
I constantly pop too. I can't stand them!! I pop DH's back, but we have an agreement that I can't get the ones he can see/on his face.
*raises hand* My mom got me on it when I was in high school. She used to corner me in the bathroom and try to pop the really bad ones. Now I pop them all and sometimes DH's too when they're especially bad
Yup, i'm a pimple popper, too! I shouldn't because it usually scars. Although, I think I will take @daydreamwanderer: 's suggestion and try the neosporin.
I do this and I dont know how obsessive you feel about it but I have what is called "dermatillomania", compulsive skin picking, and before I knew about it it never occurred to me that it was an issue!
Now I am aware of it I try to stop it but sometimes it is hard! I am 22 this year and look like I am 12!!!!
I've thought about posting about this before but was too ashamed! I'm hopeless...and I enjoy it! It stress relieving even as it makes me look bad! I do it on my upper arms too but I really need to stop!
Hmm, somewhat nice to know there are others - I do this too! I just can't leave it on my face if I know popping it will make it look less gross! I'll have to try the Neosporin thing too, haven't done that before.
Yup I do it as well. I usually have pretty clear skins.. but once a month when mother nature calls I'll break out.. and get a few massive pimples on my face.. I pop them as soon as I notice them.
I'm a pimple popper too! DH gets big zits on his back, and I pop them for him. I also pop my whiteheads and blackheads too. I don't really get much acne, but when I do, I'm popping!
*raises hand* I'm one too! I have an issue popping FI's because, I usually have pretty clear skin, and I always get pimples the second I spot them! I'm a fan of the nose pimples! =) haha, ewww
Yes yes and yes and I've just come off the Pill and unfortunately my acne has come back and so I have more to pop now.
Unfortunately my acne is cycstic and doesn't always result in whiteheads, just sore red bumps. Woe is me *hangs head*
I don't get much acne (luckily) but when I do, I can't help but pop them (kind of like I also can't help picking at scabs). They always clear up very quickly after popping them though; that's how I justify it!
Yes but usually only when I get huge ones on my chin. If I don't pop them they take forever to clear up. I always put neosporin on them after but I will only use the pain relief cream kind not the ointment since the ointments oily.
I know they say that popping causes scarring, but honestly if I leave a pimple to just do it's thing, it leaves a dark spot after it's gone for months. If I pop it and clean it really well, it drys up and heals and leaves no marks.... Maybe it is just my skin I don't know. Who could just leave a giant pimple anyway? Ughhh distracting.
As a kid (10-17ish) I had the WORST skin ever. Like scabs everywhere. It was awful and I hated it. Now I only get a few under my jaw/chin area if I'm really stressed. I don't even think about them to pop them. Now if only I could rid of this redness in my cheeks!
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:Yes! Thank you!!!! So many people shame me for it but guess what, the same thing happens! And I have pretty damn clear skin now that I don't just let them run their course. I'd much rather shove a needle in them and have them clear up within a day or two than have a huge NOTICEABLE bump on my skin for weeks and then have that weird dark spot for a while.
Oh! Another thing... ear pimples! I don't know if I'm the only one to get them but I usually get one HUGE painful pimple on the inside of my ear during the summer (doc said it has to do with chlorine in pools?). They hurt so bad, but when I'm finally able to pop them (I hear the *pop* in my head..so gross but cool) I feel so accomplished lol
I agree with the dark spots! If I don't pop them the dark spot takes forever to go away! And omg ear pimples! Good thing I don't really get those much but my sister used to get them all the time. I think one got infected on her once.
Guilty as charged!! I have a lovely little blackhead and zit tool that helps you get the annoying ones that don't give into my popping needs. Its also good for those nose ones that are so stubborn. I think you get satisfaction from it because that you can control. The zits and their random attacks on your face you can't.
I never actually popped them myself, but then once or twice FI tried and popped them (he pops his own!) and I was left with ugly red blotches that definitely took longer to heal than a regular pimple! gross! And then I heard that there is a chance that they could leave a scar! I told him he is never again going to TOUCH them!!! :-)
I hate it when people tell me to just "leave them alone."

I'm not going to walk around with a ginormous-super-nasty-whitehead chills out on my face.
I pop, then clean.
Also, sometimes they're just so PAINFUL that I feel like I have no choice but to pop so I can relieve the pressure. Gross, yeah maybe, but I don't care.

@firsttimemom: I know what you mean! They hurt like a mother but it feels real nice when I feel that relief. Haha, the sound is always pretty weird. Cool, but weird. Lol.
I don't get too many actual pimples anymore but I have blackheads/clogged enlarged pores galore and OH YEAH I pop the heck out of those :) Best feeling ever. I usually either put cream or wash/toner my face afterwards so the empty pore gets medicine in it and doesn't fill back up.
Blackhead squeezer here. It's just so satisfying! My tip is to use the rounded end of a bobby pin as an extraction device :D I'm not allowed to go anywhere near SO with a bobby pin in my hand...
I friggen love it and just reading this thread makes me jones. Yes I jones to squeeze stuff. Like if I see a stranger on the bus with a huge pimple I have a fleeting fantasy to squeeze it for him/her.
My FI gets them on his back and he is SUCH a whimp! He will let me do maybe one and thats it and he moans and whines after. Im like "You're in the Army, you do gruelling physical training, get shot at and you cry over a pimple????"

My name is MandaMack and I have a problem...I honestly can't help but to pop my pimples. I sometimes get those huge, under the skin ones and I'll actually pierce them with a pin and then pop it. I just did that today and it was the WORST mirror splattered ever! Then I put cream on it and it'll be worse tomorrow but gone Tuesday. If I didn't stab and pop it would stay for weeks until I finally stabbed and popped, lol. Is anyone else in need of 'Pimple Poppers Anonymous' with me?
