Weddingbee boards

We asked for no gifts for our wedding because with combining two households, we are literally throwing tons of stuff away. Like who needs 4 blenders? A few people gave us gifts anyway and some people gave us cash or checks in the cards.

But one of my fellow cat lady fiends that I knew only through the internet traveled from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania, just to attend the wedding! Amazing and we were so impressed!

But the story gets more amazing. Since the wedding was Friday evening and the pig roast Saturday, we spent Sunday morning packing for the honeymoon and left Sunday afternoon. So we did not open a single gift or card until after we got home. Hubby and I took turns opening gifts and cards and hubby got to open the card from my internet friend. I heard him gasp and he shoves this check in front of my face and I thought it was for $50.00 which I thought was very nice. My hubby then demanded I look again and here it was a check for $5000! Holy crapola! The wedding was the first time I ever met her in person and I even e-mailed her to make sure she meant to give us so much (apparently she did). Now doesn't that beat all?

haha, hubby and I did that with a check his uncle wrote us :p We never saw that much money in one place before! I've never met his uncle either. It's quite fun isn't it? :p
