I put up a pic of a wedding band today that I loved…everyone on here hated it lol
well, it got me thinking…what are ALL of my options?
before I got engaged and became a “bee” on weddingbee, I had NO idea what a moissanite was, if I had seen them, or knew about them, I would of highly considered it.
Now, that I’m engaged (with a white diamond ring) it’s time to start shopping for wedding bands…is there any thing I should know about pairing a diamond e-ring, and moissy band? Is it ok to do that? Do they look obviously different when stacked upon one another? these are genuine questions, as I’m not sure I’ve never heard/seen anyone do this, so I would just love some insight.
Thank you guys very much!

@MUAbride2be: They will look absolutely fine in my opinion. The stones on a w-band are too small to be able to see a difference.

I think they will definitely look different. I’ve seen people compare them before on here, but I can’t find the links.

It should be absolutely fine. I have a moissy center stone, surrounded by a diamond halo with diamonds in the split shank and even at that size 99.9% of people not on this forum would not be able to tell a difference. I got my ring from Schubach’s (my wedding band will come from there too) and highly recommend them if you choose to go that way.

@beeintraining: thanks for the website! Pretty ring!!

While they are different stones and do possess different optical properties, a wedding band with smaller moissanite stones paired with a white diamond ring should look just fine.

It would totally work and look great. Go for it!

I would not recommend it. They are different but not different enough, like a navy sock and a black shoe, or the “uncanny valley.”
