I'm so sorry to hear this, but you don't have to postpone your nuptials because of this, you could have an outstanding courthouse wedding with a cute dress that you already own. Keep your head up!

So sorry to hear this! Maybe it won't be you! Would you be able to draw unemployment? That'd be getting paid to DIY wedding things!! Then you might be able to just downscale your wedding plans, but still have an actual wedding! :)
@tranquility: I'm really sorry about this. But maybe it won't be all bad news. I mean, it might make you only pay for the things that are really important to you and your FI and families. But of course I'm hoping that you won't be cut. This economy is so horrible right now, it's scary.

So bees, I got some tough news this morning.
Our funding at work has been cut by 50% so half of us will be gone. We haven't found out who yet, but I have a strong feeling I will be part of it.
If so, this means no more wedding.
I'm in serious shock right now and the worst part is that we will have to wait a few weeks to find out who is gone for sure.
