@legenwaitforitdary:  If it says to contact the post office, you could contact the post office.

@legenwaitforitdary:  Every once in a while the delivery guy gets lazy. His attempt may have been a slight knock on the door, who knows. Either way just contact the post office so you can get your package without worrying about another delivery attempt.

Well they didn’t deliver it if it says they left a note. Google post offices and find the one closest to your house. They should be able to find at least WHERE your package is if it’s not at their facility.

Our Post Office never seens to actually attempt to deliver the package anymore. We get that notice online all the time , when we know we were home and no one rang the bell at all!

The next day we get a card in the mail telling us where to pick up the package as “we were unable to deliver your package”. Ha! Why don’t they just quit pretending they are even trying to deliver the package?

You should probably call whatever the main post office is for your area. It would be the one that process all the mail & sends it to the others & is probably the only one open on Sat.’s unless your in a huge city. I checked on a package online yesterday & it said notice left, unable to deliver and the package was sitting on my stoop when I came home. So it’s either at the post office, on the truck, or they sneakily stashed it somewhere for you upon delivery (under stairs, behind fences)…..

Yes, I’ve had this happen. Normally they just try again the next day. You can also contact the post office and have them leave it on your porch or in a car, or other specific area.

Our postman knows to leave packages in any of our vehicles.

@legenwaitforitdary:  YES this happens to me allll the time with FedEx! (It is happening this very minute!!!!) I’ve called so many times and get the BS customer service run-around.  One time it was sent back and I had to open a case.  It is so incredibly frustrating.

FedEx does that to me. They slap a note on the door and book it back to the truck. The only reason I know is the dogs start barking like mad and in the 3 seconds it takes me to look out the front window all I see are tailpipes of the truck taking off.
