I REALLY love the idea of a tulle birdcage veil. I think it would match PERFECTLY with your dress :DD
love the bird cage tulle veil (i wanted one sooo bad lol!!) but alas mom crebre said no...
i want to say birdcage but that models big hair is throwing me off.lol
My hair is not nearly as large as her's! I'm thinking about an updo, possibly a loose bun at the base of my neck. Will have to see what looks best. Best of all there are tulle veils on Etsy.com for less than $50!
Your dress is GORGEOUS!!! I don't know about the birdcage and I actually think that a fingertip may be too short! I think that a long veil would look great with your dress to keep up with the elegance and it being so dramatic. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be lovely!
What do you think about the longer veil though if I'm shorter? I'm 5'1 and think a longer veil may make me look shorter. Also the back of the dress is beautiful and I don't want to lose that with a longer veil.
Hmm I really don't know about a long veil and being short. I wish I could tell you, I just thought it would be nice with the dress! As for the back, I don't think it would take away if it's sheer and plus, it would only be for the ceremony. I was just thinking right now that maybe you could just skip a veil. Have you thought of that? Maybe all you would need is just a really beautifil headpiece that picks up the same details from the dress. Unless you're set on wearing a veil. I say just go to the salon and try on your gown and try on different veils. Sorry if I'm not helping!! I do love your gown, though, it's absolutely stunning!
Thanks for the help. I do just need to wait and try several more on with my dress when it comes in and actually fits me! Unfortunately my parents feel really strongly about me wearing a veil because it might actually be easier to just skip it!!
I voted for a more traditional veil, but I think that either would work with your dress :) It is gorgeous!

I'm not in love with the idea of a traditional veil but I'm not sure if my dress is too fancy for a birdcage veil. I think I would do a tulle birdcage to match the bottom of my dress if I go that route. What do you think?
