I purchased a traditional veil, but the color does not match my dress, so I'm going to sell it.  I'm thinking of maybe wearing a birdcage veil instead.

What is your opinion on traditional veils or birdcage veils?

Either! I'm wearing a traditional veil, but I love the birdcage veils on some brides. It completely depends on your personal style.

I like both!  It depends on the dress, venue, and bride!  Maybe one for the ceremony and one for the reception?  Or a fun bird cage style for a post-wedding shoot?

I thought I was going to wear a birdcage but when I found my dress it was traditional all the way.

I never pictured myself in a veil period but then I discovered the birdcage veil and can't imagine getting married without one.

I looooove birdcage veils. Unfortunately, FI thinks they're scary. I may get one just for some pics.

Still undecided.  It depends on the dress and the overall theme of the wedding.  I have yet to purchase my dress, so I don't know yet!  I think both can look really great though!  :)

I think they can both work and be great.  Personally, I didn't wear a veil.

Try a bunch on... I think birdcage veils are SO adorable, but they look so silly on me... I was surprised, since I love the look so much... but it just did NOT work for me.

I really like the birdcage veils, but my FI might think it looks ridiculous. Maybe I will stick with traditional.....

I'm not sure yet, I really love how both of them can look. I will have to try a lot on I think and take pictures before I decide. Or I might just be spoiled and do both. Tongue out

It's funny my fiance, who hasn't been to a wedding before in his life and is far from in the know about wedding stuff, said one time when we were talking about the wedding "I want you to wear one of those things that I lift up or whatever, you know it goes over your hair and stuff?" it made me giggle haha, he was really cute trying to explain it.

Maybe I will wear a traditional veil for the ceremony and a birdcage veil for the reception.  I might be selfish on this one, hehe!

I totally prefer a birdcage, however M doesn't like those at all, so I will be a drop veil bride.

I like traditional veils only because I feel like bird cage are trendy. I'm wearing a mantilla veil becuase I feel like those are timeless.

i like birdcages -  b/c you can rock them w/ a cocktail hat and i LURV hats but i can't stand having something over my eyes so i'm going w/ a traditional veil instead.

Can you post a picture of your dress?  I don't feel comfortable voting without seeing the dress! :)

I'm wearing a birdcage veil because I love them, but I love the way traditional veils look, too!

Probably traditional. I gotta get cracking and figure it out. The one I liked in the Bridal Salon was $240 dollars. It had a lot of beading but still. It might be too much beading with the beading on the dress. I'm wearing Casablanca 1906.
