Hi,
I am using West Point Tours, but not through the hotel - I just booked them on their own. Have to tell you, they were definitely the cheapest I found. We're getting married at FEAST (I assume that's where you are too) and have our guests staying in Middletown at the Marriott Courtyard.
Hi
Wow we are both getting married at Round Hill a week apart!
Yeah I tried contacting a few other companies and they are comparable or more expensive and/or unavailable at this late in the game. Communication with West Point Tours has just been harder than it should be. Are you using one bus or two? We can only afford one bus so we are stuck in the awkward situation of guests arriving at Round Hill possibly up to an hour early :T
Hi! Since we're getting all our photos done ahead of the ceremony wiht family etc, we're having one bus making on trip there for the the guests and at the end of the night, the bus will make two trips (some will leave a little early, but oh well!)
Would you use Hilton Homewood Suites again? I am considering them, but do not know much about the shuttle package. How did the transportation work out from West Point Tours? Would you recommend using a different hotel to avoid aggravation?

Hi
I am planning a wedding Washingtonville and have run into some issues with arranging a guest shuttle from our main hotel. I thought we got lucky in that we found Hilton Homewood Suites in New Windsor which offered a shuttle (via West Point Tours) in a special package. What we are realizing is that the package is thoughtlessly put together and will have guests arriving in 2 groups one hour apart, with the first group arriving a whole hour before the wedding. Our venue agreed this was a bad plan. When we inquired about a second bus, Homewood/West Point told us we would have to pay full price as extra service but then never gave an actual quote despite me asking in all my emails. I am irked by their lack of communication and I am irked that I signed up for their dud of a package. I know we are getting a discounted rate for transportation thru this package but seriously what is the point if I will have to pay extra for a second bus to make it work for our guests and our venue anyways??
So first off: I'd like to warn other brides in the area to really re-consider using Homewood Suites for their West Point transportation package, unless your venue is less than 5-10 minutes away or something (our venue is 15-20min away). Even then, the planning process and communication with these vendors has not been as smooth as it should be.
Secondly, does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives to this inconvenient problem? Any leads on other companies with affordable rates that can provide a shuttle schedule that makes sense?
Sorry to be such a downer. Hoping someone out there might have some other insight.
Thanks in advance!!
