We didn't tip the limo driver for our bachelorette party. The limo rental also included a service fee. The driver spent a lot of time backing out of the parking lot and got lost a few times, so I didn't feel like I needed to give him a tip outisde the regular fee.
The service fee is in fact the gratuity. You don't need to tip, they have included it in the pricing!
We wiil not be tipping any vendor that includes the gratuity with their quote. The gratuity is more than enough, in my opinion. I personally think it is very rude for them to include it in the first place, but if they are what I want and I have to have them, I am dealing with it.
I know some people and businesses automatically add gratuity b/c a lot of people do not pay it (or the levels they'd like), but when i see things like service fees etc, that's it! That's their tip. I normally don't go over, b/c i'm kind of annoyed it's there in the first place.
My venue includes BOTH service charge & gratuity! I will not be tipping.
Yeah, service fee = tip. I've seen it called that with caterers and halls, but not limo drivers.. tricky. Our tip is included with our limo guy as well.
I would be interested into the few people that have said, yes they will add a tip, describe why they feel it necessary to add a tip above the automatically added service fee?
I guess if a vendor goes well above and beyond the call of duty I am one to acknowledge that but if they didnt do anything special then I don't feel that hey deserve it.

Usually 'service fees' are included in case people forget to tip so I wouldn't tip on top of that.

Hi guys,
Just curious, this little 20% service fee that our vendor is choosing to automatically add in to our quote (on top of their already kinda high rates)...would you all take this service charge as a cue that I don't have to tip them?
Thoughts please!
