My ceremony and reception are a 25 minute drive apart. I was thinking of hiring a bus/coach to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception, But then how do they get to the ceremony? I simply cant get a bus to pick them all up individually! So then if they get their own way to the ceremony, then their car is going to be at that location and they probably wont then need the bus?
SO what do you suggest?? I was thinking of putting on the RSVP card an option for them to indicate whether they would like to use the bus service or not, but I am really wondering if it is really necessary at all, but then on the other hand is it rude to expect them to find their own way to the the reception?
Also, the ceremony will finish at 5pm, and the reception starts at 6pm if that makes any difference to the situation.
What do you think?

I organised a bus for my guests because so many were coming from afar. I organised a couple of stops along the way, before the bus came to the church, and then took everyone from the church to the reception afterwards. I didn’t organize for the guests to leave because I didn’t want to tell people what time they had to stop partying. All in all it worked very well.
Asking them to RSVP with a confirmation if they want transports is a good idea as well.

This is a good question! I’ve been wavering back and forth on this same issue as well. I’m leaning toward not having transportation and letting them figure it out on their own, but I haven’t committed to it yet. I’ll keep checking back as I’d like to hear the responses also.

I think that if your ceremony and reception aren’t at the same venue, it doesn’t make sense logistically to provide transportation. I’d let them drive themselves. I think that providing transportation in this case will actually make things more complicated, not easier.
