So I have been in love with the idea of doing a trash the dress session ever since I heard about it last summer. But two things:

    1) I wont have any money to spare after the wedding, so I am thinking about asking my friend who is very a talented amateur photographer to do it (for a super low price!)

    2) I will buy the cheapest dress possible to trash, because whatever I get for my actual wedding will be too beautiful to trash

Do any of you guys have some "trash the dress pics?"

Oh, and after telling my FI about this, he even wants to get in on the action, telling me he could find a cheap suit from the thrift store, HOW FUN!

I haven't done them yet, but plan to after the wedding! Do you get any extras thrown in with your package? Like ours will include engagement, bridal and wedding. But I'm going to skip bridal and have him do TTD instead! Maybe if you don't mind substituting something like that, that could work for you?

And if you search under google images for "trash the dress" you will get TONS of pics for inspiration!!

Also, lots of bees have done TTD sessions!  They're so amazing.  I'm thinking about doing it, too, and I'm totally with you--I could never "trash" my dream dress!

We did TTD and I highly recommend it! Apart from being loads of fun, dare I say I like these photos better than our wedding pics?!? I bought a second dress because I didn't want to trash my wedding dress and am so glad that I did -- it gave the TTD photos a very different look and I like the variety.

We had our engagement photos taken in Aruba, two days after becoming engaged.  My fiance had set it all up.  We did it in a "trash the dress" kind of style.  I just wore a $20 dress from old navy that I had packed with me and they turned out great.  We are going to have a few at the reception and build a guestbook out of them.

I never even heard of TTD until the beehive!  I really like the idea and would consider it.  Might not be able to afford a photographer again, but I've got tons of friends who have taken it up as a hobby.  It'd be fun I think!

I highly recommend doing a TTD type session.  We did ours the morning after our wedding and it was glorious.  We were dead tired but it gave us a chance to be relaxed and alone with each other (and the phototog, of course) in our wedding dudes with no stress.  We didn't really "trash" the dress though.  Here's sampling: [all photos by Leigh Miller Photography]

I didnt do it, didnt even really think twice about it because there was no way I wanted to ruin my dress. However, after seeings Mrs. Seabreeze's post the other day, I really want one now (but with a cheap dress!).  Her pictures came out absolutely gorgeous, I would love to do it on our one year anniversary.

Both me and my FI want to to have a TTD session. I think the pictures are worth it.

We're doing a TTD the day after our ceremony in Maui.  I just find it incredibly beautiful to see a wedding dress in the ocean for some odd reason.  It seems fun and carefree.  For me I thought...can jumping in the ocean ruin my dress?  Really?  I doubt it...but I wouldn't care because it's not like I'm going to wear it again.

I am absolutely in love with the idea of riding my horse around bareback in my dress for a TTD session! I'll probably also just have a friend photograph it, but I think it could look amazing!
