    @dli:

    I also did a TTD in a dress that wasn’t my actual dress….one I ordered online really cheap! Actually the dress I used and got into the ocean and rolled in the sand and everything…….turned out not trashed at all! The dress looks pretty much like it did when I got it!

    I love all those replicas above. They are all so gorgeous but if I had to pick I’d go with dress # 2!

    the red dress could be really cool if the fabric would be really cheap and then the colour would bleed if you got it wet in the carribean sea…. just picturing it in my head ^o^

    oh my goodness, option 1 for sure! that red dress will pop against white sands and aqua oceans. now I have all these beautiful images in my head of what it could look like, I imagine that red flowing fabric to be so romantic and mystical under the water!

    I’m not getting this trash the dress thing. You buy a dress and then destroy it?? Why? That seems awful and wasteful. Maybe I’m not understanding right.

    Ok, I just had to Google ‘Trash the Dress’. I have never heard of it before! But after my research (haha), I think the first option could look very dramatic and amazing! But if you want to stick with non-red, then the second.

    @BriansBride:  +1

    Can someone explain to me the point of trash the dress? I honestly don’t get it… (not trying to be snarky or anything… only heard of it recently)

    I LOVE the red dress, but fele it may clash with the Caribbean colors, the beige is more subtle and may look better is different photo settings

    I like the Gemma in blush/beige, and also the dark red.

    @BriansBride:

    @weddingbee098:

    I don’t really understand what there is to “get”…

    If you do a bit of research on it, you will find that most brides say that the dresses don’t get destroyed at all. They hang the dress to dry and it’s good as new. You get some really beautiful pictures, it’s intimate and romantic, and the pictures are very artistic. Even if the dress were trashed for the sake of pictures, I don’t see how that’s any worse than the person who puts their dress in a box and keeps it under their bed for a century and it’s never worn again (which I would say happens to 90% of dresses anyway).

    I also don’t get the point of coming on to a thread like this that’s asking for which dress and not whether or not to do the shoot and pretty much doggin’ the OP’s decision to do a TTD shoot because you don’t “get it” – Do you think you’ll talk her out of that and “save” a dress?

    Sorry if I sound rude, but if it isn’t evident, it’s something I intend on doing as well and I wish the bees on here weren’t so quick to trash a TTD shoot… it’s kind of rude. :/
