So I’ve been working with this travel agent for the past couples of weeks now on our honeymoon plans. She has been great, answered all my questions, and sent a lot of information. Before booking with her, I wanted to make sure we were getting the best deal. So I tried booking the same exact trip through the reort’s website and it was cheaper and included insurance! Now I don’t know what to do. Do I tell her I found it cheaper in hopes that she’ll drop her price or let her know I need time to decide still and book the trip myself?
What would you do?

I’d tell her what you found. If you found it cheaper go with that.

@MrsPinkPeony: I agree. I would have a hard time paying more than I could get it for myself. I would just be honest with her and say, “Hey, I found it right here for this price” and see what she says.

I’d tell her what you found. You could still book it yourself but I would give her the opperunity to beat their price.

Talk to her about what you found. Make sure what you found includes everything she found and that you aren’t missing anything in your reservations that she is providing.
If the trips are identical and hers is still more expensive, book through the hotel.

Yes, I’d tell her and see if she will price match. If it is identical trips, then by all means save the money.
