    Hey Bees!

Ok, so here is the situation. I feel like a terrible friend for even thinking this way. So I need someone elses perspective on the situation that isn't involved and would have a different look on things. One of my closest friends and is also in the wedding party recently became a travel agent. Now she has been asking if she could book the wedding and help plan it. I don't know what to do. I would hate to say no but I'm also concerned that if anything goes wrong then I would have to speak to her about it! I would really hate that to happen because I want this wedding to be a happy and fun experience for everyone.Shoud I tell her no or am I being silly and just let her book the wedding?

@RCDBRIDE:  I imagine she's working under the wing of someone with experience in this. I'd say yes i she's a reliable persona ll the way around...but if you have doubts then maybe just tell her your mom or someone already promised the job to another agent.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. My family says that I shouldn't get a friend involved. It comes from my sister having a horrible time with her travel agent who didn't tell us that our connector flight was cancelled. We almost didn't make it there!

I'd tell her you want her to be able to enjoy the trip along with the rest of the bridal party, and don't want her to worry about arranging details.  Just the same way you might refrain from asking a photog friend to take the pics, because you just want them to be a guest.  Maybe tell her the honeymoon is all hers?

That's a good idea. Only thing is that we are staying a week longer then the guest at the same resort. Thanks for the idea though. Maybe next trip we plan can be all hers. :)
